    Maybe 60 with fees then but still not bad. Anyone been to more than one of the English venues that can advise which is best? I'm assuming Wembley is the biggest/ least desirable.

    Only been to Birmingham and Wembley and I prefer Brum.

    How would you all feel about;

    Foals, Fleetwood Mac, The 1975?

    Would you love it, or would it look like one headliner got all the money?

    Personally, might be the most ideal realistic set of headliners for me and I'd probably catch all three. Might look at bit weak on paper, but will probably look stronger once Foals and 1975 get their second parts out.

    Think that 1975 at least are big enough now where it doesn't seem like they're just being given a bit of a bump up, so you've only really got Foals who you could argue are a bit of a stretch.

    It’s kinda irrelevant what anyone on here thinks though isn’t it? They’re defo performing next year, whether it’s a headline slot or not remains to be seen but we won’t influence that.

    Think you might have that the wrong way round. They may or may not be playing next year, but if they are they are definitely headlining.

  4. Caught bits of their set live on iPlayer (I'm seeing them at Leeds tonight) and they certainly look ready. Even though I much prefer Foals, The 1975 seem like a much more natural fit for headliners and can't see past them playing next year.

    It was basically acoustic though, unlike the Cure or Radiohead (the latter I don't actually like, but they do have some eletrco/more guitar-based stuff). I like Fleet Foxes a lot but I thought they were totally out of place when they played the Pyramid (I left halfway through).

    I imagine it's a similar stage set up, but I thought Bon Iver were great in the dark on a big ol' stage at All Points East this summer. Definitely think they could work as an other stage headliner (although I do get your sentiment)

  6. On the subject of 1975, Give Yourself a Try rips off Joy Division's Disorder, and although it's not as blatant, It's Not Living (If It's Not With You) gives me Belinda Carlisle's Heaven is a Place on Earth vibes.

  7. No problem with our closest toilets. We were Lower Mead so we were nearest the ones near Silver Hayes towards JP, don't think I had to queue at any point over the weekend (they got busier in the night, but even then was never too packed) and every long drop I went to was usable after a quick wipe of the seat if needed.

  8. Really enjoyed today, everyone I caught was really good. Thought The Nationals setlist was really solid for a semi-headline festival, and Florence was great (even though I only knew 3 or 4 songs). I reckon The National would've probably been more suited to the night time slot while Florence would be fine for the sunset slot, but she's obviously way bigger in the UK so it all makes sense, no real complaints.

  10. Saw them from outside the tent at WG (missed the first 10 minutes anyway) and then their Rabbit Hole set. Missed that they were announced for the John Peel, otherwise I probably would've seen them -> Pond with Hozier on the Saturday rather than what I did, which was Mac Demarco -> last half of Pond with Fontaines on the Saturday.

  11. Don't regret seeing anyone based on the actual quality of the gig. For my big clashes, I saw Tame Impala over Interpol (despite me liking Interpol more, Tame Impala were my favourite act of the weekend), Sharon Van Etten over Kurt Vile (like them both equally but Sharon was great) and The Streets over The Cure (was planning to go to The Cure but none of my group wanted to so I settled for The Streets).

    I guess I'd swap BMTH for Kylie? BMTH were great, but my whole group went to see Kylie and I ended up spending a fair bit of that Sunday evening on my own so probably would've liked to have hung out with them more.

  12. Really cool to see SvE so high up, considering the tent for her wasn't super busy. Interpol getting 0 points is pretty surprising to me, I saw Tame Impala instead and had my set of the weekend but a good four or five people from our camp went and said they were great.

    Also thought that Pond were really good and thought they'd get more than 3 - they'd probably make my top five.
