Anyone think A are likely to be announced? They seem like an ideal Slam Dunk band and are actively touring at the moment.

That could be a shout! Someone mentioned them as a possibility for 2000 trees as well

Anyone know What stage Simple Plan are playing?

I was guessing 3rd down on main stage? Followed by NFG/All Time Low.

Unless simple plan headline signature brew? I was assuming that would be waterparks, but I can also see them playing low down on main stage

  3. Turnstile would be such a good move, I’d love to see more bands in that realm play! (Angel du$t, Title Fight)

I think the fever 333 are likely to be there! And Set it off apparently have announcements this week(?). Culture Abuse, Trophy Eyes, Boston Manor, Casey and maybe even Basement are shouts too.

Maybe not on this announcement but WSTR have a new album and didn’t play last year. Neck deep have nothing planned either after the broco tour, they could definitely take a main stage slot and tend to do it every other year.

I’m really interested to see what the stages will be like this year now that both venues have moved. Do we think they’re gonna have a coheadliner again or just drop monster back down to a second stage?

EDIT: I’m talking in general mainly rather than tomorrows announcement, I know Boston Manor etc have already played

  4. Either way I’d be well happy with Twin! The crowd was massive for them two years ago, and with Shikari and ATDI, there definitely would be something for almost everyone. They create the most incredible atmosphere at festivals like this too!

That'd be an annoying headliner announcement...

Anyone think they could play and not headline? Deaf Havana have done so in the past, and Frabbit this year. TA also playing very low down at Slam Dunk.

Twin Atlantic were announced as a special guest at Slam Dunk, im assuming that’s so they could put them further down the lineup than they should’ve been. I think if they were to play they’d definitely headline! Could be wrong though!!

I know it's guesswork for now, but having never been before, I take it the two main stages will run to roughly the same schedule / be clash-central?

There aren’t normally two main stages so I don’t think anyone knows what’s going on at the moment. But my guess is that they will be! I can’t see them alternating them and in previous years the headliners of each stage have clashed, so I’m assuming it’ll be the same in this case

I'm saying either Neck Deep, You Me At Six or Skindred to be final headliner. Is next week's announcement a headliner announcement or just more of the undercard?

I asked them when the last headliner announcement would be and they said probably at the end of this month, so I think it will be

  8. I really doubt the last headliner will be Frank Turner now. If it was smaller venues then fair enough, but he’s doing an arena tour.

I’m still placing my bets on Frank Carter. Them and Basement are playing a festival in Europe the same weekend too, so they could easily fly over.

Many people called it on here that the powers that be have chosen bands based on Spotify YouTube listens etc.

I mean who gives a fuck who is in the top 50 anymore? How many people who listen to popular shit would be willing to sit in a muddy field for 4 days?

I can see why they are trying to tap in to the Wireless market but same again, isn't this just a one day thing rather than camping?

The line up got better yesterday but Im not a fan of the rap/hip hop/grime acts that are playing and even the rock bands/indie bands are not ones I would pay or want to see Courteeners/Wombats/Kooks/Don Broco/Deaf Havana/Vaccines etc.

As for ticket sales doing well, I don't actually know anyone who has bought a ticket so far from many many regulars, with people looking abroad.

I think I will wait until Glastonbury next year.

Im into rock music and not a fan of the “popular shit” you’re referring to either. But as a 17 year old, the majority of people I know that are into that stuff, are more up for camping in a muddy field than I am as long as there’s alcohol involved.. I really don’t think the type of music someone listens to determines whether they’re gonna want to camp at a festival for the weekend. Reading’s target market is young now and reading for most people this age is just a place to go and get fucked after exam results, rather than to go and actually take an interest in the music unfortunately (at least from where I’m from anyway)

Libertines possibly? Saw people on Twitter predicting Green Day but dunno whether they're free or likely at all.

Green Day had to cancel a show in Scotland last year, so people think this might be the “replacement”

Is it true that R&L would be BROCKHAMPTON first UK shows? I even heard first shows outside the states? Surprised they've not made a point of that in their marketing tbh

Pretty sure it is their first UK shows, yeah! Unless they have some unannounced shows before hand
