Tick tock. They can't wait until May to announce an August festival...

Electric picnic is playing from the same book. Annoying. Big difference is it's already sold out.

I'm sure people need to organise flights and hotels as imagine a fair amount of clients are from overseas

    2017.

    Headliners;

INmusic: Arcade Fire / Kings of Leon / Alt J / Kasabian
Open'er: Radiohead / Foo Fighters / The Weeknd / Lorde / The xx
BBK: Depeche Mode / The Killers / Die Antwoord
Beni: Red Hot Chili Peppers + Biffy Clyro + Liam Gallagher / The Weeknd + Stormzy / Foals / Kasabian

    A very good year indeed

You only care about headliners or something? Because you have great live acts as: Jessie Ware, The Breeders, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Alvvays, Sleaford Mods + dj sets by Jayda G and DJ Koze.

And a nice substitute for Audioslave/RATM in Tom Morello

I don't think they'll do EP personally, whereas I think LDR will and not do either Pukkelpop or Lowlands. It would be a major ball drop if Pukkelpop didn't get QOTSA and Lowlands did.

Read into it what you will but when I was at queen's recently they said they like finishing their European legs in Ireland.

They're rumoured for the Sunday. So imagine it's France Thursday, lowlands Friday and then a day break and Ireland on Sunday.

But of course 4 days in a row is doable so hope for all that's the case, but doubtful

Missing QOTSA and Korn won't make happy to the guitar fans...

It would be a huge loss for the festival if QOTSA break the agreement.

You mention in your post 'his contract' does that mean the guy from festileaks think it's a singular artist. i.e. not a band?

Insider "jimmywe" from Festileaks says that one of the Pukkelpop booked headliners or subheadliners has cancelled his contract with the festival.

Queens of the stone age now heavily rumoured for Electric picnic.

Could be them. I anticipated they would play lowlands and pukkelpop with no show in Ireland as it's all over the same weekend this year.

EP is normally first weekend September. We are also rumoured to be getting Lana.

Main thing that popped out for me is St Vincent's back on tour. Have a lot of regrets about not seeing her in 2022 so hopefully this is a sign she might pop over here.

Although granted it'll be in a different guise to what she was doing for Daddy's Home, as is tradition with her.

    Yeah supposedly heavy, perhaps metal.

I'm happy, didn't like the last style/persona as much as previous albums

Don’t understand the Lankum hype at all. And I say that as an Irishman born and bred.

They seem to be held in higher esteem outside the country than in.

But the foreigners do love the paddy whackery more than we do ourselves.

I decided to give them a fair go as they have their own mini fest in Dublin.

It's not great imo. I don't get the hype either. I'd be so bored watching them.

Give me Mary Wallapors or the scratch for fun or to make a fair comparison alot of other Irish folk music is way better.
