  1. Thanks to all of you wonderful folks on here for keeping me believing I could still be there this year, I would not have made it without you. So sorry for those who missed out as it was another awesome year at the farm! Hope to see you all in 2019 but hopefully not on this thread! Peace out.

  2. Morning all. Heading down in a couple of hours from Worcestershire. Have a briefing at 7pm but just want to get down there now. Will keep my eye out on here for more success stories and Kinky's grand post opening. Those on the whatsapp group will see pics later. Have a wonderful festival people. You are all awesome!

Basically involves meeting someone in a field and them walking you into the festival (allegedly) either on someone else's band or via security.  It means you don't have a band when you're inside the festival walls though so could theoretically get thrown out.  The cost is so cheap (100-150) you could probably buy another go if that happens for less than the tickets are going now.

My wristband? Oh it's here somewhere........

Love this forum. From everyone waiting for a secret sale its all come down to whether Kinky's ticket is legit.

I agree. I feel genuinely nervous and excited about this and must be hoping it works out almost as much as Kinky is! It all sounds good to me today though. Why would you post nothing!?

I took the plunge and went for the trader ticket.

this is going to be a stressful few days while I wait for it to arrive!

Good luck! Hope it's all good.

  6. It's so awesome that so many people have found a way in over the last few weeks. Page 978 kind of did weave some magic as it became a trigger point for some of us to take positive action and make something happen. This resale group has been amazing and I shall miss it terribly when all of this is over.

That's 16 hours not working - no sleep til Monday :)

This is the perfect way to look at it. My shifts are 6.5 hours per day so 17.5 hours free per day/night. I'm might allocate a couple of hours to sleep. :)

  8. I have a few questions if anyone can help? Uniform says black trousers, can it be black jeans/chinos or even shorts in hot weather? Just compiling my list and need to go shopping for a few things. I'm a regular at Glasto but first time working it so any other advice would be welcome. Thank you.

Me to!!!   I finally today got my DC shifts changed from nights in the camper van fields to the chaperoning team as well.      I'm in team Fairy -  bit weird.   May be seeing you there.

Like @MJ88 says hope those that need to still manage to find a route in.  5 weeks on here finally got me in thanks to the posting of the DC tweet  - can't thank everybody on here enough - your all amazing

That is so cool. They seem like really good people to me. I've heard good things from people who have worked for them before. See you at the briefing on Tuesday evening. I'll be the one with the big grin that I just can't get rid of right now!

I have also found a way in with less than a week to go! DC Site Services! However my shifts seem a little longer.... but still Glastonbury!!!! Part of the crossing teams inside the festival as far as I have been informed so far :)

That's awesome, congratulations! See you at the briefing on Tuesday! Great to see people still getting in. If anyone without a ticket doesn't mind working it, give DC Site Services a call. Festival Lizards were also looking again yesterday.

  11. The fine people at DC Site services have seen fit to change my shifts to Wed to Sun alternating early/late at 6.5 hours each. Chaperoning the vehicles inside the festival. Total result!  Still have my fingers crossed for all the amazing people on here that still don't have a way in. This time last week I was pretty sure I wouldn't be going and now I am so don't give up hope just yet!  You never know........

Last year everyone was swapping shifts on the first day (there was a sign-up sheet on the office door). You might struggle to get any takers for the 12 hour night shifts mind! Having said that, they get a lot of people working purely for the money who just want as many hours as possible, so you never know...

Thank you for this. They have actually got back to me now and changed me to Chaperone on 6.5 hour shifts alternating early/late so I am so happy right now!

  13. Hi.

I called these guys (who are genuinely always great on the phone) to discuss my shifts as I unwittingly agreed to 12 hour night shifts (agghhh) when I signed up in a hurry last Thursday. They said to put in my request by email which I did on Monday morning and again today with absolutely no response so far. Anyone else had anything similar or know when I might expect a response? Didn't want to call them again as they are most likely busy and I'm sure they don't need the hassle.

    Thank you.

I been I bed with hideous man flu since Sunday. Just woke up for the first time today. I missed anything then?

Don't come in here with your germs, we're all planning on going to a festival next week....

    Hey everybody!

So I signed up to DC Site Services yesterday and they've put me in the "Crossing Werewolf" team. Anyone else doing crossings? The thing is the *only* reason I'm going to Glasto this year is to see Radiohead, and the Werewolf team says that Friday is a 'late shift', which I'm worried might clash.

First, does anyone who's done this in the past know what the shift times actually are (there are early, late and night shifts listed, 8 hours each)?

Secondly, if it looks like that late shift will clash with Radiohead, is there anyone on "Crossing Dwarf" who'd like to swap, either entire shift pattern or just a single shift, or even just a couple of hours? It might make it easier to cover if we already have it sorted before we arrive! Feel free to PM me if so.

Anyway, feeling relieved that I'm going now in some capacity at least. See you at the cider truck! (If my shift allows)

Yes. If you look at their info it does say that they will try to accommodate requests to see a particular artist. You're so lucky getting alternating day/evening shifts at this stage. I sorted mine last Thursday and ended up with 4 12 hour night shifts! I've requested a change to days and evenings so fingers crossed for me too! Awesome that you're going though!

Oh do you? Apologies. I wasn't told that part. Going to have to send it again now but opportunity probably ruined!
