  1. Ah, the fatal error. You gave work your number. I managed to work for this company for four and a half years beofre they had a number for me! Even now if they rang it I would just hang up and send it to voicemail when I see the number. They don't even ring me when I'm 'working from home', or even when I'm out and about for the company, which is often, as I make it VERY clear, if I'm not about and someone asks a question, it can wait. They need to give me another 5k before I start giving a toss about work when I'm not there :ph34r: You get what you pay for. :blink:

    I tried avoiding giving them my number for quite some time and when I was off, they put pressure on people I was friendly with to get my number. So I just avoid putting my friends in that situation by giving them my number.

    I wish I could not give a toss about it when I'm not there, but the fact is that I'm panicked already about what I'm going to go back to. I can't help it, I had a bad experience once of taking time off work and being set up whilst off (they found faxes "just left on the middle of my desk" which would have saved three grand if they'd be found the day before I went off - the fact I knew that they weren't there when I went off was neither here nor there.
