  1. For me, Hozier seems like a headliner on June 25. He is not smaller than Smashing P in Ex Yugoslavian region apparently, looking at reactions on socials.

If there is still headliner missing on 25th, zero clue who could it be. QOTSA, PJ Harvey, Pixies, Arcade Fire....

  2. Never saw that poster, how old is that?  And why do you think its an actual name, maybe its just random, and nothing behind it, just meaning a third headliner is still to come.

If that poster is month or two old, I would be surprised if that had someone confirmed for months and still didnt announce it.

  3. Havent been following for some time, and took a look yesterday and was surprised to see reactions for Hozier. By far the best reactions out of all the bands at InMusic, specially better than The National. Who knows, maybe they can bump Hozier up to headliner status?

  4. Machine Head really is probably the strangest example out there at the moment. The band is way way less popular now than 10-15 years ago, and they are headliners everywhere now, same fests they used top play 5pm slots. I guess its a thing of no new bands at metal fests, so they have to make up some headliners now. But with Machine Head its just weird.

  5. Saw Lana many times and its super mixed, all over the place. Some early shows way back 10 years ago fall among the worst shows I have ever seen, just awful and border line embarrassing.

On the other hand, some of her shows I saw in the past 6 months are among the best shows I ever saw.

She just aint a natural live performer, she's not a fan of it, but when she has a good day and is into it, its absolutely brilliant.

  6. I dont buy that about lack of headliners. If we are talking about metal, pls check line up of Welcome to Rockville in USA, 4 weeks before Download. That line up puts Download to shame.

Speaking of Primavera, I do think they can have 6 super strong headliners out of this pool :: Tool, PJ Harvey, The Smile, Massive Attack, Lana Del Rey, Pulp, Bad Bunny, LCD Soundsystem, QOTSA, Travis Scott, etc. Not all of these will be to everyone's liking, but they can have a massive year I believe.
