Can it really be true that Skunk Anansie headlined the Pyramid in '99?
Says so here:

i am still desperately trying to get the saturday off work, but its not happening at the moment, would love to do Glasto this year. Just have to hope some kind soul will swap my shift for me, its a pain cos the wed/thurs/mon is no problem just the damn saturday!!!

Ahem, are you calling us a bunch of mad cat ladies?

Would be interested to see what ads would appear as a result of the 'Any generous ladies?' thread
.. gets coat ..

When did this thread get so serious? The word slag will not offend most women - for anyone that has been out on a saturday night will have seen these loose ladies and have probably used the word at some point themselves, lets not get so defensive when a man (boy rather) says it.. especially when it's in jest. Everyone found the thread funny until someone got offended, then were drawn to be defensive for the offended parties... come one, thats offensive to women in its self...
As for Rohypnol, neeeeedles as we already know didn't use the word first - using the word Rohypnol and genius in the same sentance must be a piss take (or of course he is seriously screwed)
I rarely post because time after time these boards get nasty... what's that all about? Why can't people play nicely? Please dont feel the need to answer that....

+1
They are open 24 hours and they don't charge although donations are normally the way to go. This is the best place to store your cash aswell. Put your valuables into a bag and take them to the lock-ups, they will give you a ticket which allows you to come back whenever you want and take things out of your bag etc.

In 2005 - a erm rather large lady was walking up past the pyramid with 4 boxes of fish and chips... it was rather muddy and she got stuck, up to her knees.... 'Help....Help..' she screams as everyone laughs... so I offered assistance took the food from her arms (so my partner could help her up)
She started screaming at me, trying to grab me - accusing me of stealing her food... My partner pulled her out of the mud, I passed back her food and after she took 5 more steps she was stuck again.... (this time we just watched too)

Hey, I paid for mine by phone because it said online that they were sold out. Try ringing See (numbers on the official Glasto website) cos they had loads left. Just give them your registration number and you should be fine!!

Hey Guys
My last two years I have been really really cold in my tent at night and in the morning
Do you know what I can do to keep in warmer in there?
Thanks

Congrats Have you been to Glastonbury before? Would make things alot easier if you know your way around/where gets busiest etc...

i used this number to book my tickets about half an hour ago, and it worked a treat. i was given a reference number, but the man on the phone didn't take my e-mail address. should i have given this? i'm worried now! (aargh, the paranoia that creeps in post-purchase! it happens ever year!) anyone who can put my mind at rest would be saving my Sunday morning loL!

Thanks - after trying (And failing!) online got through straight away on this number, got him to check I hadn't already paid (Constantly booted online after given card details) Money hadn't gone through so paid, all done.
Def worth phoning instead

Actually I was at the Ciderbus and venus was with me (witness!). I sent out text messages to 33 people reminding them as I promised to do so. From what I have heard not everybody got those messages, this I cannot be blamed for. I stayed at the Cider bus with Venus until 10.30pm and figured nobody was turning up so I wasn't going to waste any time waiting around so I decided to go to Shangri-La to get there nice and early for Hayseed Dixie, again I text 33 people to let them know, as I promised.
I tried to reply to txt message as much as I could (I was sent 53 messages in the space of 2 hours!) and I actually spent a couple of hours being pretty stressed and pissed off actually if that is any consolation to some who sent me arsey text messages. I finally caught up with Luscious Lucy, Staberinde, Molly and her mate and some other female who I don't think I was introduced to.
I felt absolutely shit for it being a complete screw up but I tried my best, the text messages cost me money as I had used a seperate pay as you talk phone for this meet which meant me buying credit and I spent valuable time trying to tell people where the cider bus was, why people couldn't ask somebody or find out beforehand actually puzzles me. I was speaking to LL on the way back to Camp Trianlge (best bunch of people ever!) and had decided to not organise a meet next year but was convinced to maybe have another go, with different arrangements that don't mean me wasting money or time texting! At no time did I not try my best and I am gutted it wasn't pulled off because I think we'd have had a blast.

Choc wasn't at the cider bus anyway.....
-
I didn't get there at the right time.
I have no idea where I was.

Can't wait for the madness to begin! This time tomorrow, will be patting myself on the back for putting up my tent on my own (Mrs Boover isn't much help!) and celebrating with a warm can of beer - see you all there
-
Can't miss Sinead will be there straight after though

Flags 2008
in Chat
We decided (After much discussion) to wash our flag last night - it was pretty disgusting after someone ripped it down last year and trampled it in mud
We feared it wouldn't survive the wash........ Fortunately it did but it's still not clean, just what is in Glastonbury mud? (Or maybe it's just that it was left like that for a year )
It shall be returning this year (Slightly) cleaner
