Can probably rule out Arctic Monkeys given these dates.
Good. Less chance of insufferable lads on tour-Brits being there.

So I've noticed the speculation has gone a bit cold in this thread. So I came up with some educated guesses for next year loosely based on this year's line up:
The leftfield legends: Massive Attack // Massive Attack
The popular rock band: Tame Impala // Arctic Monkeys
The reunion slot: Pavement // Pulp
The American indie/rock legends: The Strokes // Nine Inch Nails
The legends: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds // The Cure
The critical darling indie band: The National // Bon Iver
The solo legend: Beck // Bjork
The alternative pop star: Jorja Smith // FKA Twigs
The marquee hip hop act: Tyler The Creator // Kendrick Lamar
The mainstream pop star: Dua Lipa // Rosalia
The unconventional pop star: Lorde // Mitski
The alternative R&B/Hip-hop act: Megan Thee Stallion // SZA
The comeback kids: Yeah Yeah Yeahs // LCD Soundsystem
I know it says mainstream pop act, but I'm missing the Spanish headlining (pop / rap) act on top. I'd very much like Bad Bunny (and/or Rosalia) please.

It doesn't happen with Primavera, only with rare exceptions. Big Thief also played this year's festival and I couldn't see them being booked two years in a row, on top of having their own Barcelona show.
Guess that comes with programming two weekends chalk full of music this year. I don't even know how many artists that were on the complete line-up, with Ciutat etc. included. I feel like Big Thief is a band that always seems to tour, so whil I understand they'd be a repeat band, I also feel like they kind of make sense to get them back? Besides, they deserved a better spot than at the Pitchfork-stage (clashing both Slowdive and Gorillaz) imo.

Two years in a row with the same album/production? Very much doubt it.
They could announce a second run of dates later on, wasn't aware they already played this year.

Simple, if they are announced for a festival they sell fewer single date tickets for theory show
Not if they get announced after the shows are (near) sold out, which happens a lot here (in Belgium).

I noticed that Muse have announced a European tour for next year ,no Spanish dates , they've played mad cool already, I would like to see them but not at the prices they charge for a gig , anyone think they could play primavera.
And they'll most likely play Mad Cool again.

Big Thief announced a European tour playing Barcelona razzmatazz in Apr , can't see them playing primavera.
Why not.

Can someone update the clashfinder.com/s/ps2022 with the latest changes please?

So, do we now have to have a bracelet or not and more importanly when. Is there going to be an opportunity to already get yours on Wednesday or do you have to wait till Thursday? Like.. why are they not communicating about that.

If anybody cancels, please bring WARPAINT to the Mordor stages. It's hard to miss them. But it would even be harder to miss The National. They both are Primavera Family. Strange decision to let them clash.
Also one of the more weirder clashes (Caribou v Jamie, Slowdive v Big Thief etc.) of the fest tbh.

edit nvm.

Only once as far as I know has a band played with no warning.
And only once I think has a set been announced <1 hour before.
A few times, they've been announced that morning.
So generally checking on here, say, the lunchtime of festival days and you'll be good.
It might be they don't do any secret shows this year but I'd be surprised.
Question, where did those acts exactly play? Since the schedule is alright full, I wouldn't even know where some sets might even be played?
Best thing to do is install the app, I see?

+ some Belgian names still missing... It'd be very strange if Amelie Lens, Brutus, Portland, Goose, Glints, Equal Idiots, Black Box Revelations won't be announced.
Few international names missing, hoping for 3-4 good ones.
Looking at the clashfinder, the line-up is near complete. One big name (probably Foals) is still missing.
Think Stormzy fell through last minute, didn't it?

A new teaser hinting at rock bands now.

For an example Balthazar are playing both Lowlands and DTRH and I'm expecting them (and lots of others) playing both Werchter Parklife and Pukkelpop. Don't think Lokerse bought a Belgian Exclusive for Maneskin and I think they'll be one of the perfect well-sold-medium-sized-European-act touring this summer.
Balthazar... is a Belgian band? It's normal that they play play multiple festivals in the Benelux.
-
RATM is not playing any date in Europe this year.
This seems like the most probable for what we know so far.:
Kings Of Leon - Editors - Bon Iver
London Grammar - Bring Me The Horizon - Foalsedit: I'd expect Balthazar, Soulwax, FKA Twigs, Robyn etc. to be there aswell.. I expect a solid undercard but rather meh headliners.

First names tomorrow so. Curious to see what they'll bring!
That's not happening. It'll be the wishlist/stickers probably.

These dates make her much more likely for Pukkelpop than RW to me.
But she just played (in 2018)?

He played this year. Do you think that Pukkelpop would book him two years in a row?
What are you talking about lol.

Bon Iver would like to have a word.

For the last time. On the big European main stream festivals (not uk) is MCR not a headliner.
Last night, I heard from someone on another board that MCR is playing this. Headlining to be confirmed tho but as you say, I don't think they will.
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023
in overseas festivals

According to another source, Kendrick isn't on there. Which one to believe.
