  1. Hi, I've never posted here as never had tickets before but ...now I do 🥳

Not sure if it counts as glamping but what is the deal with the official pre-pitched tents? How do you book? Also does anyone know if its possible to get bedding (air mattress and sleeping bag) there rather than carry it?

  2. Hi, I read this forum but never post here.

Gf and I have had a hell of a day, first our flight was delayed and we missed our connection through Dublin, so currently staying in an airport hotel. Then we tested positive for covid, so no primavera for us.

Longest of long shots but if anyone is in need of a weekend one ticket or two then please let me know. And even longer long shot but if anyone knows of tickets and accommodation for weekend two then DEFINITELY let me know!

  3. Well anyway, let’s not focus on the price of the drinks. It was a great weekend! Favourite sets:

Jarvis Cocker - he’s just iconic at this point isn’t he? Really loved the new songs too, especially ‘House Music’

Solange - a proper show, always feels special to see her. Shame about the downpour though.

Fucked Up - amazing! Never seen them before and thought they were fantastic. What was up with all the children onstage at the start?

Courtney Barnett - just love her. Shame she isn’t touring with the keyboardist anymore but she’s got so many great sing-a-long songs.

Interpol - seemed that they played mostly from TOTBL and Antics which worked for me, sweet nostalgia!

Sophie - not much happening onstage but I love her music and made some new friends dancing to it.

Big Thief - probably my favourite of the weekend. Love their music so much and they managed to own the bigger stage. Closing with Masterpiece with all the crew onstage ❤️

Rosalia - brilliant and unique pop performance. Loved that she saved the newer bangers for the end.

Mykki Blanco - my god, I did not see this absolute party happening. Spent most of the set in the crowd whilst all the dancers vogued onstage, at one point they ran through the audience and headed for the trees whilst security followed.

Shoutout to J Balvin for just being ridiculous, not my thing really but it was certainly a spectacle.

Missed Viagra Boys because they were on far too early.

We were drinking cider at €6 a ‘pint’ (just under a pint) which would have been half ice if we didn’t insist on them not putting ice in.

At one point (during Kate Tempest) we approached the nearest bar and they had run out of cider, so I rashly got a double vodka and a double rum - €24!

Yes - I think it was expensive!

We were drinking rum and vodka mixers a lot of the weekend and the standard measure seemed to be a double for €6. So I think they might have been quadruple measures?

Agree it wasn’t the cheapest for drinks, but I think it was the same prices as Barcelona Primavera?

Oh my days!! These schedules are horrendous!! Stereolab v Tommy Cash V LEG; James Blake v JPEGMAFIA; Interpol v Kali Uchis; Courtney Barnett v Sons of Kemet XL; Big Thief v Lucy Dacus v Tomberling; Kate Tempest v Rosalía; Low v Modeselektor - I have never seen this amount of awful clashes!

Kali Uchis v Interpol is the big one for me, but otherwise I’m ok. Lucy Dacus v Big Thief is a shame, but at least it’s not a total overlap...

Why is Erykah Badu not on the timetable?

  6. Saw the (brilliant) gig in Glasgow on Monday and wrote a review so researched the drummer. It’s Leo Taylor from the band The Invisible, he has played on HC records and toured with them when they first added a live drummer.

According to his instagram he’ll be with them through to at least Blue Dot.

So would this mean that Solange and Tame Impala will have something ready by Primavera?

If I recall, Tame Impala ran into the same issues when they sub-headlined Coachella in 2015. Kevin mentioned the album was not ready as originally anticipated and the label pushed release back until July the same year.

Solange said in an interview she was releasing a new album by the end of the year... not sure if that will happen but surely it’ll be out before June.

Tame Impala have not said anything definite (afaik) but there’s definitely a risk of nothing getting released due to Kevin pushing it back - he seems quite a perfectionist and I think his studio burnt down in the LA fire. Maybe they’ll do an Arcade Fire and announce the album at the festival?

  8. This week folks! Super excited, seems to have come quicker this year for whatever reason.

For what it is worth, I was pretty vocal about the Arctic Monkeys being a terrible booking earlier, but their new album is brilliant and daring, and has totally won me over. Still probably won't see them, but happy to admit I was wrong about their artistic capabilities.

Gabi didn't sound very enthusiastic about on the facebook live thing. Basically said he was doing it for the guy who runs the Exiliados forum who was always bugging him about a DJ stage/tent that was not electronica.

Haha! That’s amazing that he actually said this. Some guy.
