  1. I wonder how many people were using the pagechecker... @eFestivals? - it did give a massive advantage! Unfortunately not enough to compensate for me losing my mind as soon as I realised it was real, but I imagine that If all 300 or so people browsing this thread as well as as many non-members and facebook people were ready to go then it could easily have been a thousand tickets gone in 30 seconds.

I'm probably giving up now :(

  2. Urrrgh I got through to the page where there was the option to add a water bottle or car parking and in a blind panic thought that's all it was, with no main ticket. Caused me to stall long enough that they were gone by the time I came to my senses. What a waste of a week :(

  3. Hello all! I'm Heledd (it's welsh!) and I'm a lurker. I didn't really trust myself to start commenting in case I never did anything else, but I failed to get tickets this year so since I'm gonna be spending all day every day watching out for secret resales I thought I might as well chat to some nice people at the same time! I've been four times so far, there are still so many places I've yet to explore - Glasto never gets old!

Anyone's phone give them a notification about half an hour ago as to a change on the main glastonbury page? couldn't find the change myself, i think it was something minor. i'm on android and i'm using 'Web Alert (Website Monitor)', i've got it set to check the page for changes every 1 minute, might be worth a download if you have an android phone. someone may have already posted about it like. goodbye data!

That's strange - I'm using Web alert and got nothing. It's checked it since then too. I can't see any settings I could tweak, do you have the extra features or something? It's worked for other changes, but I don't want it to miss the subtle ones!

Just a general summing up of last year's secret resale:  The last date for refund cancellations was Friday 8th May 2015.  The secret resale was expected to happen in the following week 11- 15 (around lunch time, and "on the hour" for reasons I'm not sure of).

However, the resale was on Monday 18th at 3 pm for 14 mins.  Earlier on that day, folk monitoring ticketsite page changes on this forum said there were changes in the code but no visible change (you can see it all kicking off around page 60 of this thread).  I got a ticket for a mate by following this thread, and noting a lot of activity.

BUT what had never occurred to me is that @GlastoFest would tweet that the tix had gone onsale (people say it was about 3 mins after the site had gone live). http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/gallery/image/5197-glasto-2015-secret-resale-tweet/   Nothing came up on Glastonbury Festivals facebook page. There was only one "secret resale" and that was it. They were all general admission tickets (not coach) afaik.

So, I would strongly recommend that people check this forum/thread, monitor page changes, join siblin's group and also set up a twitter account following @GlastoFest with reliable "push notificiations".  I notice @GlastoFest doesn't tweet that often so it's advisable to test in advance for someone who tweets a lot that it works reliably. (I'm still struggling with this on my new bloody Microsoft Lumia).

This year the last refund cancellation date is Friday 6th May, so the most likely resale time would be Mon 9th - Friday 13th (eek!) or Monday 16th May.   I wouldn't discount weekends myself. Set an electronic reminder that 6th May is last refund date and the following week or so is most likely resale time.  Make sure you have the reg numbers and post codes and debit card details to hand at all times, you've got enough money in your account, and keep checking  glastonbury.seetickets.com  or  http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/content/extras

Just a note, if you are thinking of picking up a ticket for a mate who missed out in the resales, be sure to check they still want to go!  Last year there was a thread on here about someone who, in the heat of the secret resale moment, bought two non-refundable tickets for mates who had been trying in the official resales, only to discover they had booked flights and tickets for some international festival instead - don't know how that panned out in the end but I suspect not well.....

Good luck to all who are depending on the secret resales!!!

Great summary! Just wondering, are you using an app for the twitter notifications or just what's built in to the site? I'm getting notifications from the twitter app but they don't draw enough attention for my liking!

  6. First time I've failed in the resales, I guess I'm gonna have to dedicate most of May to monitoring the website! I got through straight away on Thursday and entered my card details only to get the error page. I knew from this forum that this wasn't the end of the world and all I had to do was go back but for some bizarre reason I decided that the fact that I accidentally put my boyfriend's registration in first making him the lead booker, that my card details wouldn't work. Went back and joined a neverending queue :(

It's so much worse knowing that it's my own fault, congratulations to those who didn't mess up!

  7. Long time lurker, just missed out on tickets this morning (and Thursday - I basically panicked and lost the card payment page after getting through straight away!) so I thought I'd join this lovely thread! I was just reading through the joy of secret resale day last year - hopefully I can be part of something similar this year!

So last year were there any coach tickets or just GA? I'd rather coach but at least with GA you don't have to go back and forth when the particular coach runs out!

I have all the apps watching the page but no idea if any work, hopefully they'll change it soon!
