Hi Bearded Theory folk, this is going to be our first time at BT, so very excited to be going. I've been to most of the UK festivals over the past 35 years but not BT.

Just a few questions, where is the best place to camp if you want a quiet time.

I have a blue badge, is there a parking area for this nearer the campsites as I struggle to walk long distances.

I keep reading about a bridge on the way in that is very narrow, is there a way of avoiding it.

    Is the festival cash only.

We probably won't be arriving till Friday morning, will there still be decent spots to camp.

    Cheers J

Anywhere is quietish - justr avoid the Magic teapot area. near the arena entrance.

Yes there is a blue badge area right next to wrist band exchange. Just have BB on display and point stewards at it and thye will point you in the right direction. If you see a muddy purple ford fiesta that is us...... cos we have a BB too.

There is a way of avoiding bridge but it is a long way round - a car fits over the bridge with ease though.

Cash and cards but cash is king always.

There will be spots, ask stewards and they will direct you but again avoid near Magic Teapot unless you hate sleep.

    Hope that helps

Good stuff. I always listen to everyone at least once and compile a list with a brief note next to each. It's noticeable just how few I've completely written off as I've worked my way through this year.

Clashfinder is indicating I'll be very busy, now looking for gaps where I can nip back to the tent or just do nothing for a spell.

You could Do Nothing while watching Do Nothing

Oh right, is he not the guy who came up with the whole website then? *slowly pulls OBE away*

On that I really have no idea - maybe they are and an OBE should they want one is deserved.

how quickly do the tix sell out to this? like a few days or a few hours?

About 3-5 hours but that is cos of a system that only allows a few in at once rather than demand. They always seel out first day and stuff like CV passes go really fast.

It took us 90mins to get a space in the system and we still had all choices then.

Agreed that is a massive clash for me 😞

Confidence Man said they are 3pm so if BCS is 2pm, and it is still a guess, then that can be done.

SK is playing elsewhere in SEC as well

He deserves an OBE or something.

It's actually quite quick and easy as he has scripts written to use the data sheet from the GF website lineup page - hence it all happens quite fats.

I do them for other festivals and have spreadsheets all set up so it does not take that long.

The core oneneeds updating, Arlo Parks is down as playing Friday not Sunday, Ayra Starr is playing somewhere else on Saturday, and Orbital are Saturday not Sunday.

My one's the glastoprediction one and I do regularly check tour dates for it - the ones that haven't got confirmed days are guesses though.

It is all guesses atm and Halvin does not bother doing much to it until the full lineup drops, then he locks the clshfinder and updates it to the lineup announcement.

Take it asa bit of fun til then and heaps will be wrong.

Doing the tories work makes you a tory.

If I was doing the Tories work then I would be one................. but as I am not doing it and do not support it it makes me a non Tory.

If you seriously think anyone who does not vote or support Labour is a Tory then you really have  a very closed and narrow mind as there many other parties available are so far from Tory your comment is quite frankly laughable.

The only party out there now trying to be more Tory is Labour - so if I were like you I would now accuse you of supporting Tory policies by supporting Labour................ but I am not like that.

Anyway, I was asked to ignore you so I shall return to that as normally after 2 replies the nasty side of Neil arrives and the whole forum descends into a hate and anger filled pool.

This is the Core one which will be updated with everything once it all comes out.

Yeah but you think like a tory as seen in your constant attacks of labour.

No, I just live in a world where there are more than the same old same old two parties neither of which I like.

Disliking Labour does not make you  a Tory.

What makes you a Tory is living in a world of 'I'm alright Jack' where you gloat about how well your life is going while not giving a crap about other peoples lives.

    Remind you of anyone?

I dont think it will be.Rachel Reeves in the Times this morning says Labour will be more pro business than Blair with another hint about watering down the workers rights proposals.

Well more to the left of Thatcher is more left than I and others currently think so they could be right LOL

makes literally no sense. There was no way to tell which way the vote was going to go. Are you claiming that they would have pulled out of the agreement even if their members voted to keep it and with the co-leaders both supporting continuing it?

    Your info is dodgy

I know they did a quick poll, unofficial, and there was 90% plus support for pulling out so I stick by what I have been told. Never been given false info before from this source

Nope not true, Green vote was next month not overnight. Although the gist of what you are saying is likely accurate as they may well have voted to end the agreement.

Pretty funny considering Yousaf made it a central part of his campaign for leadership and reiterated the support like 2 days ago.

Glad to have Harvie & Slater out of government though. Total morons.

A friend of mine is part of the SG's group team )not MSP) and last night they contacted SNP to say they would be pulling out once the vote was done hence my comment.

Sadly though I see the Greens are playing the blame game after this today.......... and I hate political games

I've listened to almost every acts on the main 3 stages now, and it really is a superb line-up.

A couple of acts that I've never heard of before but are now on my must see list, Meryl Streek and Slope.

Tomorrow I make a start on Convot Cabaret!

My Friday is stacked - utterly bonkers. Good job energy will be high so can move around between stages loads.
