hehe..you remind me of my OH he says i shouldnt tell people about this fest or glasto/bearded ect (friends/wrk assosiats) because it will become big...and 'common'..and there for shit.
I disagree, i cant relate bestvial to T in the park/leeds/reading/download/V cos its nothing like them, they never ever preteneded to be anything else other the a big gig. its just an open aired concert. I spent 10 years at leeds, and loved it but its NOT a festvial. (as in our terms of a festvial)
I seriosly doubt that the audience will change that, i think bestival/glasto/*all the smaller fests* have a complete diferent underground respecting audience.....
I disagree that leeds/ T in the park ever had that....the music might have been better back then, the actual festvial hasnt changed. IMHO ...same shit different decade.....

While it bothered me as well, I don't think it's any worse at Bestival than most other places.

Neil - regarding did you upset me, No you didn't, i remember you helping me get my point across. (i'm dyslexic and struggle getting my point across in writing regularly. )
And regarding my point that the last thread went around and around about 'drunk scousers' I didn't mean to make it sound that i don't think there was any (lmao of course there was!) i meant that it didn't really have anything to do with the price of cheese, it wasn't the point...the cover up/lies/injustice was my point.

- The travel....14 hrs to get there...jeeeze.
- national express are in compedent. I now actually HATE them.
Being robbed from the coach!! 60 quid matress.
Being in the wrong que for 3 hours, and then having to pay 30 quid to go on the ferry becuase i only had a hovercraft ticket (my ticked didnt menchen hovercraft at ALL on thw ticket...it called the 'boat' a coach ffs.
-The fact there was no space at 7pm thursday to put your tent, after walking round for almost 2 hours we began to put it up one foot over the 'white line' only to be threatened aggressivly by security. A few hours later 4 (yes 4!) tents were over that bloody white line behind us - totaly unnessery the security giving us such a hard time. (threatened us with esscorting us off sight.)
-not many toilets by the campsite, seemed to be constantly massive ques no matter what time of the day.
-The rain/coldness on sunday night.
-Our tent getting 'smashed-up' two poles completly broken.
-Only discovering Bollywood/that whole area at 2am monday morning!!!! argghhhh!!
-lastly the coach crash...we traveled by coach, going to merseyside alot of friends and family phoned us/posted on fb wall in panic on tuesday morning. It really did put alot of our traveling woes into perspective. We felt so sick on the way back to liverpool, we could have very easily been on that coach. so so sad.

It was easy for nearly everyone to believe the story of drunken LFC fans.

Loved him at Glasto, very special moment. I'll be seeing him at Bestival too
-
we had the exact same issue! luckily phoned up a few days ago and sorted it.

I went to Bearded Theory and had an incredible time. (first time I've ever taken my children to a festival too)
My proper glasto alternative is Bestival for me, very excited.

Luckily I just phoned up to change my address and was told one of the payments never went through months ago! (I didn't get an email, or if i did it went into my junk) so we were 56.66p short of owning our tickets!. Just paid off the remaining balance.
I wounder what would have happened if id have never contacted them? would they have cancelled my ticket even tho I've paid 90% of it? scary.

We've just booked national express from Liverpool, Thursday. Going via London, getting to Ryde for 3pm. Would have cost 65 each (including ferry) but i chose to do open return, so was a little more expensive. We are planning on staying in a B&B in Ryde on the Monday to recover before the big travel up.
Glad its sorted now, relief.

It was stapled to a wall somewhere in shangri la, and I just pleaded/begged to the person who owned the store, they gave me it for a fiver if I remember rightly, (it was a messy night/early hours of morning) I put it on right there and then and lost my fave hoody in the process. Totally worth it, of course Lol.
