I mean there could be a slim chance thats what the wait is for. Having Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Kendrick. Part of the reunion and its alway good having a reunion act. If they did play I reckon it could be something like this:

Main: Foo Fighters / Courteeners and NME: Travis Scott

Main: Kendrick / Dua Lipa and NME: Wolf Alice

Main: Smashing Pumpkins / 30STM and NME: Pendulum

Would be a very good year that. Is it too strong or doubtful? Just an idea...

what happened to your info/prediction of Foos, Kendrick, Arctics?

Just quickly, you still sticking with your first predictions or have you changed thoughts?

Would've thought Royal Blood and Imagine Dragons or Paramore coheadlining are more likely than Arctics at this point. The other two I'd stick with.

  3. On the topic of Shame, was listening to their album earlier and I realised one of their songs is incredibly similar to a song by a band my brother used to be in :D

Of course they'll never have heard it, just as soon as I heard that opening riff I knew I recognised it from somewhere!

We're speaking in terms of fan bases. Your stereotypical BMTH fan is a 15 year old Rock Sound girl where as your stereotypical Imagine Dragons fan is a middle aged woman. Like how say The National and Jake Bugg are both indie, but appeal to completely different audiences.

EDIT: Didn't realise that was sarcasm. Hard to tell over the internet tbf.

aye pal I was being pedantic, no worries

I'm sorry, but you can't call BMTH and Imagine Dragons similar. Imagine Dragons is the most inoffensive pop-rock possible. BMTH, even in their last album, is slightly screamo heavy rock....

I was taking the piss mate, I know they've got different sounds. But That's the Spirit is definitely a pop rock album, as is every Imagine Dragons album.

And haven't you heard the wailing screams in Radioactive?

Tbf though, BMTH and Imagine Dragons are pretty much opposite ends of the spectrum, and I'd say Royal Blood appeal to Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian fans more than anyone else. Especially with Kendrick, I don't think it's that bad.

Two pop rock bands at the opposite end of the spectrum? What?

still surprises me how accurate he could be

pretty sure nobody could get this close for 2020 headliners right now.

To be fair, their schedules were pretty easy to predict - at the time looking at 2018 it would've been 4 years since the last Foos album, 5 years since the last AM album and 3 since the last Kendrick album. I think I was predicting Foos and Kendrick to release earlyish 2018 and AM to release late 2017, got them the wrong way round in retrospect but the fundamentals of what I was thinking were there.
