  1. Hoping to have eaten breakfast by now and heading down from east camper fields in order to have a second 'breakfast' at the toastie stall.

Those who make the same journey will know the stall I'm on about I'm sure.

    Theres a toastie stall??
  2. Other festivals might struggle but Glastonbury wont, it sold out in record time this year without a single headliner being known. Tbh if the casual fans are put off in the next few years by what they perceive as a lack of major headliners then it gives us guys a better crack at getting tickets, most of us on here go to Glastonbury because its Glastonbury, not because whose headlining the pyramid.

    Yes!

  3. I'll be doing the exact same thing!

Coincidentally, I just posted exactly that on Facebook because I can't sleep... I'm just nonstop thinking about it![/quote

Am the same. Wake up every morning thinking about it-obsessed!!

  4. Cracking choice - excellent festival boots, seen me through three festivals last year and virtually unscathed

Best bit is dancing in them, they're so light compared to any decent ones I've had before it's like you're still in trainers

These sound good. Been trying to break in old Karrimors for longer walks but think it's a waste of time if not right after 3 weeks!! Would be good to have boots to dance in too!!
  5. It's just me sleeping in it so I'm not really fussed......I don't get the question anyway not as if it's hard to air a tent out.....do a few to many beer farts...simply open the door for 5 minutes....that's what tents are isn't it? Not as if we're talking an escape proof locked room here haha

  6. what do you folks think about older people going to the festival, I have been going forever and just wondered is there a time to stop? I'm 57 BTW.

I'm 56 n it'll be first time I've been to Glastonbury!! Don't tell me I won't be allowed to go again!!
  7. To one and all, sober or otherwise, nervous or confident, do come along to the E-Fests meet. It's just a great group of people sharing the joy of Glastonbury and the delight of putting names to faces.

There's no need to drink alcohol or take anything else. They usually give out sticky labels so you can put your nickname on and we'll be sitting around in the sunshine putting faces to Avatars and thinking "I never thought Neil (or whoever) looked like that."

After previous years several people posted that they hovered on the edge but didn't have the confidence to announce themselves to the group. I think that's such a shame because you won't meet a friendlier, more supportive, non-judgmental group.

If you can quit the booze, saying hello to another E-fester should be a pretty small step but one worth taking.

    Where do you meet pse?

  8. Yup!

No, in fairness Harry, you're just about cock-on, there...

*note to self - everyone on the forum is now entirely certain that it's your first fucking Glastonbury, you idiot*

    :)

    Ben

    Mine too!!
