  1. An efester got me my ticket. Still need to pay the poor sod.

Edit: & he's not even going because he's Welsh!

Aren't the Welsh allowed in any more? Seems harsh. :)

I got my 2 tickets after about 8 minutes.I missed out for the last 2 years so I really didn't think I'd get through again.

I installed Windows 10 last week and I think that was the secret of my success.I got the holding page at 9:00am and I could refresh every 2 seconds with no problems on Virgin broadband.

The transaction was the easiest I've had since 2008.

  2. do you have much space around your tent on a scale of SGP (absolutely loads of space) to Glasto (tripping on guy ropes all day, every day)???

In the first year the campsite was more rammed than Glasto, they opened up extra space after that.

The further you're prepared to walk to your tent the more room you will have. Last year I went up the hill to the top field and camped close to the edge of the site. The ground was flatter and I had plenty of room. I arrived around 3:00pm on Friday,it was easier to find a space at FN6 than arriving at Glasto on Thursday evening.

  3. also too keep toilets cleaner in the campsite and overall less queues is to have urinals there!!! easy ...every festival I have been too have them in the campsite apart from Latitude

They just need to have a few of those portable 4 person urinals. Glastonbury had them near the Pyramid for a while to stop people peeing in the stream. The lack of any facilities anywhere near The Alcove meant I wasn't the only one to 'water the trees'.

This was my 5th Latitude and a pretty good one overall. I didn't see any of the secret sets and didn't care. Portishead, Savages, Thurston Moore (with excellent bass from Debbie Googe), Warpaint, King Gizzard, Zola Jesus and Laura Marling were my highlights.

I've never used the taxi rank to get off site and I'm thinking of trying it next time.Has anyone tried it on Monday morning? How long do you have to queue?

  4. ... tickets are expensive, any chance of discounted ones popping up at any point?

On August 22nd last year I got an email from Latitude offering "a limited number of 50% Discounted Tickets to our sister festival No.6, Weekend + Camping £80.00 + booking fee £10.00."

I had to enter my Latitude 2014 booking reference code to get the discount. They sent an e-ticket 3 days before I was travelling.

I think I'll only be tempted this year if they repeat this offer.

  5. Being able to hold anormal none shouting conversation during Motorhead summed it up for me.

Will never go again. Utter garbage.

I haven't been to a Hyde Park gig but I've seen many reports like this.

I'd love to see The Strokes again,I'll never waste money going to Hyde Park.A warm-up show at Leeds Brudenell or Holmfirth Picturedrome would be perfect...

  6. OK....so......advice please.

Me and the missus are thinking about going to this. HOWEVER......the Grace Jones & Metronomy headliners do NOT get me excited at all. Im assuming, though, there will be SOMETHING else on when they are on, right?

    Do tell. Thanks.

After 10 pm the two tents mentioned by Stanton stop the live music and become dance tents. There are only ever djs at the Castell Garden too.The only live band after 10 pm is on the main stage. If you are dancing types (I'm not) you won't have a problem. The only alternative to the main stage and dance tents is the late night cinema in the village Gatehouse.

I've been to all three FN6 festivals and I thought the first was by far the best. Each year since then the organisers seem to be mainly interested in turning it into a festival for clubbers and I've become progressively more reluctant to buy a ticket.

The stage times are never released before you arrive so it's not possible for anyone to make a clashguide online until it's too late.I don't have a working camera at the moment but the print in the programme timetable is microscopic.
