A general election is OK on the TV as there is lots going on in over 600 constituencies.

The EU referendum is just one count - just how long can you sit and talk (after months of talking) about the outcome of one count?

Personally I would rather watch the testcard (showing my age there) as more is likely to happen!

That's a good point actually but the referendum in Scotland was exciting and that was only 32 areas.

Exciting!?!?! Bloody hell. I'm a huge football fan and every two years have that quandary of missing some tournament games cos I'm at Glastonbury - I just have to get over it and prioritise, basically. If watching votes being announced is truly your passion - and I'm not slagging it off, it's not for me - then maybe you should think again about your Glastonbury ticket. Prioritise accordingly. Stay at home and watch it all and then maybe come to glasto on the Friday?

Right into football myself but again, being Scottish, we don't have that quandary very often. I'll be out my box regardless, but in a weird way I think I would enjoy watching that with big eyes.

watching votes being counted is a bit like watching the grass grow.

You could always use your phone to check a news website, if you need a minute by minute commentary on how the count is going.

It is of significant importance to us in Scotland. It may finally put the 2014 referendum to bed. As someone who is usually at the counts I find it quite an exciting evening.

  4. I'm curious to know whether there would be anywhere to watch this at Glastonbury?

It seems there is a very real possibility that the vote will take place on Thursday 23rd June.

Will provisions be made for people to see some form of coverage considering the festivals links to politics?

There's no confirmation yet that a 2nd indy ref will make it into their manifesto this year, if it doesn't and the UK does vote to leave the EU that should give them plenty of wiggle room on timings.

Either way they're only going to go for it once public opinion suggests Yes is a good few percentage points ahead.

This annoys me. Have we already decided the question for a mythical second referendum on independence? Most people are already bored. No way will a referendum be granted under a Conservative government and Sturgeon et al know this. They just keep the needy holding on with promises of pipe dreams and a socialist utopia. The unfortunate thing is, those most in need won't realise how bad things can actually get until it is too late.

I'll bring Nicola Sturgeon down with me, she might take some of the heat off of him, boo-wise.

I'll give you a hand mate as long as we can leave her.

I detest Sturgeon and I don't like Corbyn but I would probably go along to something like that.

  7. Get a doctors note for a dodgy back. It is verrrrrrryyy difficult to find anything or prove you are telling fibs.

I was off work with a sore back in my teenage years whilst working in the fruit and veg aisle in a Supermarket. The Doctor told me to continue my day to day activities but give the lifting a miss.

Boss of said supermarket picks up the local paper and sees me celebrating winning a trophy with my football team. He tried to reprimand me until the union rep told me I had done nothing wrong and was to continue day to day activites!

  8. I reckon it depends on where you think you are most likely to be at the end of the night.  If you're an Acoustic Stage type person go for East.  If you're more John Peel go for West then at least you won't have too long a trek across the site to the exit.

John Peel is not as close to West as you would think. In fact there is not a lot of time in it walking from the East to JP and the West to JP. Obviously it depends on traffic but we done it last year and surprised ourselves.

  9. I used to have the contacts you can keep in for months at a time so it never became a problem for me. To be honest it is not that big a problem just bring baby wipes and a small mirror - if you need a mirror that is. Keep your solutions and case underneath some clothes or whatever as you usually have to keep solutions away from direct sunlight.

Had Phakic IOL surgery in August and its one of the best things I have ever done so I don't need to worry about it anymore.

  10. Can't help. It is our first time staying in the CamperVan Fields. Do you need to go outside the Festival walls to get to it? What I mean is to you need to go through security each and every time?

  11. We went everywhere and could not find a pint on the Wednesday after 12. Fortunately some of the volunteers working were stealing cans of lager and then selling it on to scumbags like me who were in desperate need. I have no idea where that was but it had a huge path adjacent to the entrance which was well lit and then when you went into it you walked up a slight gradient with things happening on both your left and right. Actually no idea where it was it was my first and we were absolutely blootered.

What do you think for this year?

  12. Not at all. I think it is the best £225 you could spend for 5 days entertainment. I am from Scotland and T in the Park is absolutely pants compared to Glastonbury but you will spend a whole lot more at T in the Park. If you plan and know what to bring you could literally spend a couple of quid per day and have the time of your life. The atmosphere you get at the place is worth every penny. A lot of other huge public gatherings attract a frightening amount of helmets but we could not believe how good it was and how laid back.

  13. Camped inside the fence at Gate D in Bushy Ground last time and paid the £50 to use the showers at the powder rooms. It was amazing for me. I could never go 2 days without a wash never mind 6 days so it was a god send. We all agreed.

Some of our group stayed in a pre erected bell tent and they loved it as well and that is probably what will happen again. I preferred having the best of both worlds. Getting up in the morning and going a wander to have a shit and a shower in undeniable comfort was awesome.

  14. Sent two on the Thursday night. One to my local and one to my mum. Both arrived Saturday morning. My friend sent one as well but she realised on the Sunday she never put the address down so the postman might struggle.
