  1. In no particular order:

    Radiohead

    Faith no More

    Living end

    Eagles of Death Metal

    Placebo

    Maximo Park

    Vampire Weekend

hmmm find it hard to pick 10 I'll be seeing NO MATTER WHAT - I mean if one of my friends was ill or something then I'd probably miss anyof them (ok poss not FNM...) and there are ones I'll def see cos my friends all want to, like Pordigy and Deftones that I wouldn't put on a list just for me.

There are quite alot of the smaller bands that I'm just starting to listen to and like to that I'd really like to catch, but that would make my list more than 10 but here they are too:

    Airbourne Toxic Event

    AFI

    New Found Glory

    White Lies

    White Denim

    Riverboat Gamblers

And probably some more I'll fidn I like whenI listen more....

  2. They have been doing the earlybird sale for donkey's years so I can't see it changing this year.

You can get next year's ticket at this year's prices right after the festival. (of course that's only really a saving if you have the cash to spend on it - if its getting interest on a credit card then it prob ewon't end up cheaper) Means you don't have the crazy rush the next year and can sit ahppy knowing you have all your tickets!

  3. Oh, that's dissapointing. I'll have to make sure and check out IOW too. Not sure I'm going to be in to watch all teh live feeds, was hoping to record stuff to watch at my leisure. I notice the website has an 'on demand' section though so maybe that's my answer.

    Thanks guys!

  4. Having read what the website says about the over 18s wristband it says that they are not compulsory but are available for people who look young to stop them having to carry ID around.

To me this suggests there will be a rigourous ID check, maybe from a different desk or whatever, prior to handing them out. I imagine this would have to be robust enough for the council to be happy that the bar staff themselves are not re-iding those with the wristbands at point of sale which would usually nhave to be the case regardless of wristband - as pointed out by glasto-worker.

Just take your booze and drink it in the campsite/smuggle it into the arena and don't stress about whether you can get an over 18s ID. If they are not compulsory then you don't have to have one to get served anyway, you could always take your chances at the bars - though as pointed out above that does carry a risk for the server also.

  5. Some will say it was inevitable, but that doesn't make me any more understanding. Frankly I'd prefer 2005's security to no gas.

How much are solid fuel blocks, but far more importantly how big and heavy? I ask this because I have, without question, the smallest gas stove in the world, and this really will make a difference to what I can carry. I'm traditionally the smug one who manages to fit all of his stuff and everything everyone else should have brought but didn't think about, everything the group needs, all of my food plus sleeping bag and tent in the rucksack, and still left with two hands free to help carry wood and booze. I don't want this to change. :P

EDIT: If this only applies to Reading I would seriously consider doing Leeds, bar the persuading everyone else to go oop North part.
