  1. I watched last night with a lot of tears in my eyes.

My youngest daughter is a big Ariana fan and it's really not my thing, but last night I was so pleased that she is inspired by such a beautiful young woman.  It would have been understanadable if she had wanted to hide away after what happened, and too easy to have turned last night into a self promotion exercise but the whole thing was done perfectly.  And even more amazing when you consider the timescale it's all been done in.

  2. I'm type 1 and this will be my 5th year, and to be honest I've not had any major problems (probably because I'm an old git and don't get up to too much naughtiness).  I've got an insulin pump and I've never bothered with storing my meds, most modern insulin is ok for 30 days out of the fridge.  Testing is the biggie especially if you are moving about loads, I've found that at Glastonbury I can drink cider while walking round and it has no effect on my sugar level, he might even find he needs to decrease his insuling dosing.  Certainly avoid the tempation to think I'm going to be drinking/eating loads of stuff that will put my levels up so I'd better increase my insulin, and as its going to be sunny this year remember that can also lower your sugar level.   Lucozade is a bit heavy to carry round so I take jelly beans or glucotabs, only been caught out with a hypo once and that was last year wading through the mud, and luckily was close to a sweet stall.

General rule of thumb, I would rather run a bit high than risk a hypo, and as his mate make sure you are aware of signs of a hypo and know what his preferred treatment is. This is purely my thoughts as a fellow diabetic etc, etc, more than  happy to chat via message if I can help with anything else.

All the general waste is sorted by hand in the recycling centre, by a person. Just bear it in mind.

Ooops sorry, I only deposited two last year and  they only had a few mls of small  child pee in.  But if I ever meet you I will provide a pint of something more palatable.

On a serious note are there any bins that aren't handsorted?  We shoul  dbe ok thiis year as we are camping in Spring Ground so I'm guessing there will be medical waste bins.

  4. For emergency situations I can recommend travel john type products and a large poncho or blanket for privacy.  My youngest can't hang on  and this came in handy a few times last year.  Wouldn't recommend it for adult quantities but fine for a youngster, then just pop in nearest general waste bin.

The peg tension on that green Gelert tent is an absolute disgrace. You wouldn't get that past me in our camp. I'd be grumbling and re-pegging to ensure an adequate erection.

    Ben

Husband is a structural engineer, he gets very upset about these things too. Maybe there should be a special area for tent peg fanatics.

  6. Older, quite posh looking couple by the Meeting Point loos on Sunday afternoon.  Woman declared loudly, I've had enough of this f***ing weather, it's ruining my trip. I was desperate to ask what type of trip she was referring to.

Compost loos in Kidzfield, heard a woman in the next cublicle say, just wait outside xxxx we won't be a minute, followed by a bloke saying, so have we got time for a blow job then!!!

  7. I'm in the I would pay more camp and think the ticket is good value.  We took the kids for the first time this year and it was even better.  If I counted up all the rides and activities they enjoyed  and compared them to a local fair, I bet I could easily have spent another £100-£150.  Plus the fact that they could enjoy themselves without time limits or having to ask for money was very relaxing for us.

  8. Would have loved to hear Johnny Yen as it's the first song of theirs that I heard, would have been a wonderful reminder of sixth form.

As a band I had wanted to see for a long time I wasn't disappointed and Tim's ability to keep singing while crowd surfing was impressive.

Jeez, one of those tents was this seasons kalahari 10. I have one and it costs £500. Who has £500 to throw away?! That video makes me sad

This is what I don't understand, if you are prepared to leave behind a £500 tent why don't you just camp offsite.  Surely the "stigma" of doing that is lesser than dumping your tent?
