Again this shows how much V doesn't give a crap about it's customers. I'm only going for The Roses and Noel, but it would be nice to know who else is playing and when!
-
I don't blame them for booking the pop acts, it sells the tickets. Just a shame it's changed so much. First time I went was V99 when Suede and the Manics headlined. Class weekend.
Can see Feeder playing, they aren't doing any other exclusives I believe.
-
They need to get some proper bands - When V Festival first started this is what it was all about.
I think M83 could play as well - don't think they are announced anywhere else? The Subways aren't at Reading either so maybe V this time round?
-
Unlikely IMHO, you can't just move a date and expect bands to be available, the summer is too busy.
-
I've said on the Soni boards that I've heard a one day event is happening on Sunday 24th June, the day after RHCP, no idea of any details. Just heard it as I'm local to Knebworth. Will have to see how this pans out - they could move some bands to a one day event instead?
-
I've heard that there's going to be another one day event at Knebworth after the RHCP gig, so chances are they could move some bands to that day - but I've no idea on line up.
-
Went a few years ago. Got to see BRMC in the Underworld that was amazing - but generally it's crap. You can't get in any venues, and you only see about 5 bands for your 40 quid worth. Won't be bothering in the future.

Better not be changed to the 13/14/15th July weekend as I can't make that. Nothing would surprise me either, anything is possible. I think they have the land for a while, so date changes could be possible.

Latest rumour I've heard - dates could be changed to either the weekend before or the weekend after!
There is also meant to be a second one off show at Knebworth Park (like the RHCP one) but apparently that's fallen through now as well.
-
I think they need to get something out there as soon as possible - the current climate means people are being a lot more picky about what they go to - and that includes festivals. I'm only going to do 1 or 2 this year. They risk losing people to the Download crowd.

24 packs are being phased out and 20 packs are replacing them, I think the costs are hitting the suppliers!
-
Lostprophets bombed at V last time, they didn't even want to be there. The Wanted confirms a new low for V.

Some very different opinions on here. Seen them about 20 times now, first time at the Astoria in 2000 (with Coldplay supporting!) where they tore the place apart, absolutely stunning.
O2 arena was the worst gig i've seen them do, all too over rehearsed, too much of a stage show and didn't seem to focus enough on the music. They did drop Cave though instead of that awful Feeling Good!
Wembley stadium I went to the first night with the shite setlist - very dissapointing indeed. But they saved it with a STUNNING Stockholm at the end, I think that was one of the best times i've ever heard it.
Best gig i've seen em do - V2008 - Dead Star, Space Dementia, man with the harmonica KOC to finish, amazing.

They are doing the Buffalo Bar in Islington on the 4th April, but you have to be a pledger on their website. It will set you back 30 quid too for a ticket!
-
Gig announced at RAH on Oct 11th. Does anyone have a presale for it? I missed the boat on their mailing list :-(
-
Shocking... this is the nail on the head for me.

Saw them in Cambridge a few weeks back, first gig of the tour. Now they have the extra guitarist as part of their live set up they sound a LOT better live. Vocals also a lot better & much much better than expected!
-
There were day tickets for the last two years, but they release them approx a couple of months before.
-
I don't know how you've missed them then, as they have both been all over the tour circuit for the last 2 years or so!
Muse are still my favourite band but the O2 gig also dissapointed me, way too staged and over rehearsed, but they did save it by playing Cave and dropping Feeling Good! Wembley last September they did put on a hell of a show but the setlist on the Friday was crap.
Kinda wish they would go off for a while and come back when they have something new. Going to go for The Strokes & Pulp day ticket I think (providing the rumours are true!)

I've seen them before in Harlow with The Subways, or possibly in Hitchin .... can't remember... I think thats where they are locals!
-
They were dire at Reading 2007!

Keep it, whats the point of selling it?
I've got some good stuff such as used plectrums from Matt Bellamy, Dave Grohl etc. And some drumsticks. You got it so keep it!

Latest I've heard is that Sonisphere 2013 is still happening - but it's still quite quiet on that front. And rumours round this way too (I live near Knebworth) that Live Nation have booked a slot at the park, similar to what Killi had with RHCP this year.
