Ticketmaster have emailed me with a pre sale code & 'discount' (I assume because I purchased Tame Impala tickets last year) - however the link doesn't work on the email and there's no option to enter a code on their site!

Does anyone have the correct presale code? Interested to see how much tickets are for this one!

  2. Think I did 5 before it went belly up!

    1) Slipknot - Birmingham Arena

    2) The Subways - Hitchin Club 85

    3) Supergrass - Birmingham Academy

    4) Editors - Manchester Apollo

    5) Bombay Bicycle Club - Birmingham Academy

Think some people have asked but I cannot see a reply, what times have support and the stones been coming on stage at these  gigs?

    Going on Saturday, cannot wait.

    Cheers

London night 2 had Florence on 7-7.45, and the Stones about 8.20-8.25 until about 10.30

  4. Was there just for Sunday. Thought it was way too crowded for the site size, although granted the bar queues were fine. The tent needed to be bigger, too much gridlock!

Sound was also awful during Noel, although it did get better.

Had a fun time, Editors were great! Pigeon Detectives and Beth Ditto good too.

Only other thing is that I found the crowd a bit nuts... everyone seemed out of it. Not sure if it was just a Northern thing ?

anyone know what streets you are not allowed to park on, trying to not have to go in the actual car park as will most likely take ages to get out of

That's my plan too... park about a 10 min walk away in the streets and walk in. Does anyone have a recommended aeea to go?

  6. Hi guys,

Thinking of coming to this from the UK, the mad cool site doesn't give much away about transport links... I've noticed that bands don't finish until 2-3am, how do people get back to the centre? Don't want a load of aggro trying to get back every night!

Also, does anyone know what the "front section" of the VIP area is, is it a golden circle or is it something else? Thanks :)

I saw Muse play BH&R in full when they first toured the album, granted I was a bigger fan than I am now, but I was still disappointed. Absolution in full would've been brilliant.

Agreed. Saw the same gig (Wembley arena night 2 I think it was) - they played the whole lot in a row then. Don't think BH&R is that a big deal - would rather an Absolution tour as you say!

  8. Those Mountain Warehouse ones look good value at £6.49. Does anyone know if these are any good? Wouldn't mind some of the 1000 mile ones but they're a bit pricey.

  9. I can see someone above say day ticketers could camp over last year... is this definitely allowed? The website has a section that says there is day ticket camping on a first come, first served basis, but in the ticket info it says no camping facilities for day ticket campers... any insight anyone?

  10. Anyone go yesterday? Were they on at 8.45 sharp? Going for a pint first and don't want to risk missing a second!

Just marched to the tube singing along to the first three tracks. Don't want to exaggerate like but this will probably be the best gig of my life. Maybe.

Went last night - was great! Yes they were on at 8.45 sharp and finished about 10:45. A lot of people seemed to walk out after THB set though?!

JDB says he has a cold so his voice was a bit off, didn't spoil it too much but was a bit of strain going on!

  11. Not camping at the festival then?

As for bars, this place does lack any decent nightlife! The town centre is awful for bars (there's a Weatherspoons and that's about it but may be good if you're hanging around for the bus to the airport) - the best place to head for is Stevenage High Street that's actually not too bad (old town - about a 10 min walk from the town centre).... I think most places shut about 12am-1am.

  12. I live in Stevenage. The busses to the airport are very regular from the town centre and old town, so assume it's the same going the other way. I think there is very limited service on Saturday and none on Sunday, but you'd be at the festival then anyway. I believe it will cost you about £8 return on the busses, so cheaper than taxis, that will cost you £30 one way if booked in advance.

  13. I've tried to find out more info from my Knebworth contacts (used to work there years ago) and can't find out anything. Being kept well under wraps this year it seems so I wouldn't trust anything yet.
