That's a hell of a pop lineup, honestly. Probably not for us but it'll do well.

Oh yeah definitely. To be fair, I don’t mind Robbie, grew up listening to him as my Mam loved him. Just not the sort of act I want headlining my festivals haha

Last headliner rumored to be a guitar one..... GnR?????

I had them down as potential headliners after they were meant to play in 2020. Sure they had to cancel a show or two in Europe this year so thought they might be back around next year

I miss the days where each vendor had their own allocation, so you usually had good luck if you went to one of the smaller lesser known ones. Now everywhere just directs you to the same Ticketmaster queue.

Same, people used to think I had magic powers for getting tickets when we were at Uni back in the day. But in reality, I would just go on the venues website to find out who the ticket supplier was and buy them from them direct (EventIM, WebTickets etc) used to work an absolute treat

Major festivals should be happy with this as a lineup. Not sure why it's being treated as some mid sized thing.

Yeah, I feel like any 3 of those 6 would be considered headline acts in previous years. If they’ve got them all that’s big

    Pulp news coming today…

I’ve resigned myself to all the Pulp shows being UK based. I do think the reason we didn’t get anything this morning is because they’re possibly going to announce 5/6 medium-sub sized bands at 3pm before the ticket sales. Hoping for a mix of Editors, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand in amongst it. (This is of course just a hunch I have, it’s definitely more likely that we just aren’t getting anything but announcement fever seems to be in full flow today)

Yeah other than Pulp nothing I’m that keen to see but The 1975, Sam Fender, George Ezra, Pulp, Kasabian and Royal Blood would be very strong for the TRNSMT crowd.

If it’s all of those that feels really quite strong a festival the size of TRNSMT. Has anyone ever had as much mileage out of two albums as Sam Fender by the way? He must be due a new record before these Stadium gigs/headline slots next year

    according to the official forum

Metallica x2 with BMTH and Slipknot as main headliners

Pantera, Architects, Parkway Drive +1 subs

Placebo, Ghost, Evanescence +1 2nd headliners

Get Pendulum as the other 2nd headliner and I don’t think I’d be at the main stage all weekend

RW18 is one of those posters I show my friends and they think I'm making it up. Absolutely bonkers that a lineup is so strong you have NIN subbing the second stage.

I have this often with going to festivals abroad, most of my group prefer UK based ones as they can’t be bothered with the travel and it’s really vexing when things like Werchter exist. I still maintain that in all the years I’ve been RW14 was the best for my tastes, and I have the same thing that people don’t believe a festival like that could exist. If I could go to a festival with Metallica, AM, KOL, Pearl Jam, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Foals, The Black Keys, Biffy Clyro, Haim, Placebo, Skrillex, Paolo Nutini, White Lies, Pixies, Robert Plant and Damon Albarn (amongst many many others) these days I would think someone was making things up as well

  8. I would have said the missing headliner was Metallica but they seem to be doing 2 nights at Download so that rule them out of Sweden Rocks. GNR perhaps?

Trondheim Rocks have added Alter Bridge into the mix too so I think we can add them as a likely sub for this

Ghost on Sweden Rock on 10th June

Was just on my way to post this, few European festivals that are being headlined by Def Leppard/Motley Crue have revealed a bit more. Trondheim Rocks is also the first confirmed sighting of Alter Bridge and a couple more

What a boring act to close the festival if AM really close the Main Stage...  Now it's sure I won't go back 4 days at Werchter. Really not headliners for me. Curious to see the Friday headliner and some undercards.

Yeah that’s going to be what makes or breaks it for me. Already a few interesting names popping up around various European festivals so there’s still plenty of hope. Knowing RW they could still have some strong co-heads for the two announced so far as well

  11. Apologies if a thread already exists but it looks like news is imminent!

Confirmed 4 days again for this year, makes me wonder if they’ve done what Download appear to be doing and have gone for the double Metallica headline set? Or indeed if they’ve got 4 different headliners. Imagine Slipknot are nailed on, would also expect Def Leppard/Motley Crue for one night if the Hellfest rumours are real

  12. I know that they technically haven’t increased the prices for 3 years but that feels significant. Having to come down from around Sunderland means we’ll probably not be able to try for coach sale now and chance our hand on the Sunday morning.

On the other hand though, we ended up paying about £275 for our Leeds tickets this year and got lumbered with The 1975 headlining and the only late night entertainment being A-Level students out of their mind on ket so in real terms Glasto is well worth the extra £60
