  1. Not sure if we've got a thread for this, but any bands you saw who you can't quite find post-festival? Would be nice if people can help people out with this.

I saw a band on Sunday night at the smaller stage down the Rabbit Hole (not the actual one). Female vocalist, doing covers of various songs - I think they did Billy Jean and I know they did Rhythm of the Night. They were fucking stompin' - anyone got any idea who they'd have been?

  2. Here's the 00Z update then, my penultimate one!

    WHAT AN UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope there's people reading this in the queue!

No no rain until Sunday - bar the possibility of literally a handful of drops on Friday afternoon. And Sunday's rain is much less threatening. Temps also a tad higher on Saturday and Sunday.

If we can get that rain even better and add a couple of degrees to Sunday it will be such a result.

Weds: No rain, max temp stable at 21, pressure stable.

Thurs: No rain, max temp stable at 22, pressure stable.

Fri: No rain of any consequence! Literally some drizzle at some point between 3pm and 9pm but it is definitely INCONSEQUENTIAL! Max temps stable at 23, pressure a little higher than earlier.

Sat: No rain. Max temps a degree higher at 21, pressure a little higher than earlier.

Sun: Light showers hitting early morning and hanging around until about 7pm. But there is very little to them. The threat of the heavy rain has pushed further north to Scotland and north of Scotland. Still something more hitting Wales but nothing like in the last run.  Max temp up a degree to 17 (keep going), pressure a little higher than earlier.

    Have my fucking babies

  3. Thank you for your support at this difficult time. I hope your situation improves too.

I know exactly what you mean. Should be preparing with 10 hour sleeps, good food, vitamins and whatnot. I'm 2 days into a 7 day bender.

Been invited out tonight but we're leaving at 3am tomorrow. My heart says stay in and be well rested my head says i won't be able to sleep anyway so might as well get on it?

    Have a good one Filthy.

    GO OUT

  4. humph. True...

I have nothing sorted though, no travel, no tent, no sleeping bag. And noone to meet.

I don't know if it is best to go when not in a great place emotionally, might struggle

I'd be willing to bet that half the people on this forum (all about the stats today) are in a similar situation.

You've got a day or two, plenty of time. And the stress of getting there will be more than worth the catharsis of being there.

Edit: and you're wrong on that last point - you've got 150,000 people to meet.

  5. Hi All,

Im a 29 yr female heading to my first Glasto from Australian solo. Excited but interesting how the camping thing will go as Ive never put a tent up by myself! Will be getting a 10am coach from london on the thursday and looking to camp darble, lime kiln or hitching hill. Anyone want to meet up and camp together?! Im an easy going, music lover who likes the odd beverage!

    Hi All,

I'm 23 male from the Midlands, just gone through a break up but see no point in wasting the ticket! Need to do something enjoyable and I know going to Glasto is the right thing, missing it would just be baad! Get in touch if you fancy it.

    W

    Ahoy-hoy guys

I'm still looking for fellow campers and such - hit me up if you fancy it.

  6. Hey hey, folks

Doing a bit of research for work which requires me getting a decent grasp of the best places on site for a glass of wine - whether that's the best bars or just the best spots to sit and drink. Anyone got any recommendations?

  7. The Tallest Man On Earth. Anywhere. Just... please. Seriously, anywhere. Even Shangri-La at 5am.

Dark Bird Is Home is the best album I've heard in a long, long time.

EDIT: and the Antlers, obviously. Come to think of it, Dark Bird has more than a few shades of In The Attic Of The Universe to it.

  8. I wonder if the Eavis' would be on board if we pitched them an experimental art project in which every single post in this thread is printed onto an individual piece of large confetti, and then it's all fired out of cannons situated on the Pyramid as the third headliner makes his/her/their way onto the stage.

Edit: if you've picked up the piece of confetti with this post on, congratulations! You've won Glastonbury. Please report to V Festival 2016 for your reward.

  9. sime you must be getting me confused with someone else. im techguy not roses4baggie. and wellyboot, the roses will play. keep the faith, stay baggy

I wonder if you'll think all this was worth it once you're on your deathbed.

  10. Already maxed out on endlessly quoting an American sitcom at a festival last year when we found a frozen banana stand at SGP. An appearance by Childish Gambino at Glasto would push 'my whole brain is crying' to the front of my vocabulary for the entire week, and annoy everybody.

  11. Why is the field day line-up so fucking good and why does it have to be the weekend before a week in which i have 5 a level exams... fml

hoping there's a lot of glasto crossover.

Two years ago, I went to Field Day on the day before one of my university exams.

    DO IT
