Never heard that before but that's very unlikely. NoFX did have a falling out with FR as they were offered a slot one year but they took to long to accept it so FR booked someone else then when NoFX said yes they were offered a lower one and it pissed them off (they were ranting about it on their live shows) and said they wouldn't play R&L again unless they were paid a £1million but they made up eventually and played again.

Honestly I cant see what, if any festival they would be booked at-Download wouldnt have them, cant see them at V or IOW, maybe Sonisphere? After My Chem last year, I wouldnt be surprised is all im saying!

Nope, the festivals is booked by the compares and over seen by Melvin Benn if NME had any influence then NoFX, Iron Maiden etc would never have been booked in the past.

Really? They finish their US gig on the 11th Aug and their next gig is in Denmark (back in Europe) on the 28th, I think they could play the Friday or Saturday night hypothetically! Bit far fetched I know but just throwing it in to the pot

Last year we knew all 3 of the headliners months before the announcement, I wasnt that excited for the announcement.
This year i CANT WAIT. Roll on mid march.

Green Day, Slipknot, Linkin Park or Nickelback would be fantastic for me.

Would Jay-Z even tour with Beyonce just having a baby??? Cant see him wanting to be away from his new baby girl!
If not Greenday or 'The Cure' then I think it is wide open again and it quite literally could be anyone!
Ultimate headliners-just to throw some alternative names into the hat, these arent all to my liking but just a thought -Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Prince, AC/DC, Rush???

They have tour dates ending a week or two before R&L but Melvin Benn said there's not going to be much metal this year.

Killers & Bloc Party have also been touted and there was an old rumour of Kayne West & Jay Z co-headlining which has died down now.

Looks like we are dead set on having Foos n Kasabian. 2 Headliners. Tenacious D subbed to Foos on there Australia tour this year and jack black introduced them at the grammys. Great friendship between the bands as far as i am awrare the 'd' are not exclusives at download . Is Foos then the 'd' a possibility?
