Glastonbury is a totally different experience to any other festival, so leave any ideas of what to expect in your car! You will be surprised and hooked.
Bring as little as possible (tent - walking boots - something warm for the evening if needed - poncho)
Use the lock ups
Dont stay in the same place
Learn to samba in Glasto Latino!
Eat food from stalls as there is loads of choice and its not all rip off
Dont piss in the hedges & Dont take a shit outside someone else's tent
Enjoy

Or we could have continued this thread...(nice and tidy)

ELO would be great!

3 times at Reading (89, 93, 98) primavera & Oxegen 05. Always in hope they would shine. The main issue each time was Bernard Sumner. Musically they were ok, but the whoops and whistles......
I agree a little regarding Hooky but there was a difference. The dirty laundry makes it different and re Gillian's time out, it was just that. I went to see Peter Hook & the light last year and the whole thing was great and maybe they have all found their place apart.

Darble or Row Mead. Both great spots in many ways imo

Got mine today too guys! Happy to see you through as well.
Seems my ticket luck has continued for a second year - managed to get all of my group of 9(!)'s tickets this morning after failing for myself in the coach sale.
So in a surprise plot twist I'm not going to be part of the solo group this year! Found some friends last year that I'm going to be setting up camp with. I'm honestly a little gutted inside that I won't be part of the madness again!
Can we engineer a camp-solo social at some point??
Brilliant! I'd imagine a meet up is a must.....
-
Got mine today too Fluff Hope to see you again next year. I think we'll be reprising Camp Solo for those who got tickets but I'm sure others are more than welcome to join us.
Sounds good! Pleased you were successful too

Like Spindles (Hi!) I was part of the solo group this year and I expect I'll be doing the same again next year - tickets permitting, obviously!
Any luck Bethanny? Got mine!
Chris, I too was part of Camp Solo this year (until I had to leave early due to family illness) and met some great people. Get one set up....
-
Pure luck....
My only issue is people getting 6 tickets at a time for £300 which a fair percent will end up back on resale! Maybe limit to 4 or even retain a higher amount of cash back for those not paying balance....
I don't agree with a loyalty scheme in any shape or form unless it's for discounted beer. The more new faces, the better

My iPad done the trick for me this year. I had a windows laptop open too in case, but that just froze...

Sun burnt legs

-bring sun cream!

Little late my friend
I didn't have time to read all the other posts! I'll remember to put off life next time

Was looking at the new series of pics posted on the official site. Looks like the other stage is massive this year. Anyone else noticed?

Beechams liquid, Guinness and sweat it out in your sleep! Lots of sleep.

Motörhead is about it for me
-
Great idea and save on litter. It works really well at Latitude, so much in fact that they now have several colours & designs. I think I brought back 5 designs or different colours last year!

Motörhead from start to finish! Shame theyre on so early!
-
My only real issue is people who talk all the way through the set of the band on before the one they are getting their spaces to watch.....it's worse in a tent venue as their sound carries.
-
I saw them at Phoenix festival 96 they headlined the dance tent on the Thursday. Totally agree, the sound was ear shatteringly loud! Cracking set played, great night.
Coldplay at the Big Weekend...Does this affect the Glastonbury rumour?
