  1. A couple of sort of relevant pictures from me on the last day.

This thread has been great fun and has really helped me deal with the fallow year and the build up to getting tickets on T Day. Its been a great team effort and I feel part of a real community as I always do at Glastonbury.

I hope to see some of you later on today.

Firstly a tractor protest in the Glastonbury spirit

and finally and not without a hint of sadness........

    No-tractors.png

    No more tractors anymore!

    Whatever happened to Massey Ferguson?

    He got a pitch fork

    That made his ears burn

Whatever happened to dear old Iseki?

The great Valtra, and John Deere?

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

Whatever happened to all the tractors?

    All the Combine Harvesters?

    They watched their stubble burn

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

    No more tractors any more

    No more tractors any more

Whatever happened to all the tractors?

    All the Combine Harvesters?

    They watched their stubble burn

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

    Whatever happened to the tractors?

    No more tractors any more

    No more tractors any more

Definitely time for me to go. Goodbye!

  2. Dan Delaney posted this in the Orange Carparks thread

Car Parks are split into an east side and a west side... depending on where you come from in the UK will decide what side you end up on, due to the size of the festival you aim for a postcode which is the beginning of the official routes to the festival, stick to these when local as there is a very large number of roads closed so you may end up being stuck somewhere or get told off by someone.

    Directions
    • From London: M3 then A303 and A37. (Sat Nav TA11 7DP).
    • From the North East: A1 or M1, M25 to M3 (Junction 12), then A303 and A37. (Sat Nav TA11 7DP)
    • From the Midlands: Preferably M40 and A34 to A303 and A37. (Sat Nav TA11 7DP)
    • From the North West: M6, M5 to A39 (Junction 23) then A361. (Sat Nav BA6 9XE)
    • From Wales: M4, M5 to A39 (as above) (Sat Nav BA6 9XE)
    • For more local traffic using the A37 North or A361 East (Sat Nav BA4 4LY)
It is possible to get from one side of the site to another this is where the colour routes come in, a useful tool to use is the glasto earth layer for google earth this shows all the routes up to and around the festival
I hope that helps rather than confuses
  3. Ignore the less appropriate comments on here Liz.

You will have a great time

The festival is big but it is also broken down into areas that are like festivals within a festival. If you dont like the larger stages you can try the smaller scale ones.

Everyone is really friendly. We look forward to seeing you at the cider bus tomorrow.

  4. I worked the Other stage T shirt stall in 2011

It should be open again on Thursday afternoon this year and had plenty of festival merchandise left through Saturday last time

It did sell out of a lot of stuff come Sunday but.......

If they havent got what you want in the size you want buy it from the website when you get home. They stock up again after the festival.

There is really no need to buy something that doesnt fit in desperation
