  1. Hi everyone. Here is a selection from todays glorious walk round the site. Apparently the final parts of the pyramid wrap are being delayed by the strong winds.

  2. We had a fantastic time running around the farm today. Ankle deep in mud in several places but the hills were not as bad as I feared. Managed to get round in seconds under an hour too. Well chuffed to be able to do that 34 years after first setting foot on the farm. Here is a hasty shot from above the stone circle.

  3. My mate and I are doing the 10k. Inspired me to build up to that distance after doing the couch to 5k last year. Still worried about the hills but looking forward to it. Sure the good karma helped us get tickets this year too. See you there.

  4. Hi All. Cleaning the Pyramid field was definitely quicker this year. Thank you to all of you for not dropping as much litter.

Not twice as quick but 30 to 45 minutes quicker is much appreciated. Hopefully the other fields found the same.

Overflowing bins are a good thing, showing that people have made an effort to keep the field clean. It’s easier to fill bags from piles of cans or piles of paper cups so please keep separating even if the bin is full.

Huge difference in terms of plastic  really impressed how quickly this message has got across  Picked up a handful of bottles each day this really cuts down on the volume of the waste as well. It’s much more satisfying picking up conpostables and recyclable cans than single use plastic.

Need to tackle fag butts though. One of the hardest things to pick up. Maybe a festival branded ash tray container might help. Also please leave the ring pulls on the can. Doh!

The Monday morning pick was maybe similar to last year. Perhaps because of the size of the crowds and people being more static than on other days.

A quick look at Big Ground and it did seem better. Still some large camps of 4 or 5 tents completely abandoned. Surely if you are on a big group it’s a quick team effort to clear up.

Sorry for the ramble need some sleep. Thanks again for littering less and look forward to even less next year.

Most litter pickers are volunteers working for a charity such as the Bhopal Medical Appeal  thanks

I bought a village ticket a couple of weeks before the 2017 festival for £500. Included with the ticket was a slip which I just wrote my name on it and showed my ID at the gate. There was a few questions at the gate (C) but that was due to stewards not knowing village tickets existed.  There was additional spaces on the slip which would indicate getting 5 people in is possible, but I didn't need to try so didn't look into how to do it.

Hi how did you find the ticket for sale? Thanks

  6. Apologies for posting in multiple threads

Just been in twice via Gate B. Normally use Gate D which is bigger. Today is a staff/ volunteer day so tomorrow will be different.

A narrow gate only two search tables today. Bag check for everyone separate queue for this with No bag only. Everyone else in one queue.

Everyone checked but looking for obvious hard objects only. Everything else passed through OK.

Take your time at the tables. I nearly lost some clothes.

Security nice and friendly. More bag search desks will be added tomorrow. Checks only added 10 to 15 mins to our entry but will be longer queues tomorrow. We will only know tomorrow whether all bags continue to be checked.

Have a great one. You will be here soon!

  8. Just head to any of the normal gates and then look for the traders entrance lane. If you can't see it the stewards will direct you. It's usually off to one side. Once in you keep your ticket until you have checked in with the person running your stage or market or whatever and exchanged it fir a wristband.

Its an easy process and no hassle. I made the mistake the first time of queuing up in the normal lanes and got redirected.

To clarify I am referring to the ticket check lanes which are after the initial security checks

    Have a great one!
