  1. So far from this thread I have learnt;

    Showers at kids fields

    Showers and sauna at greenfield

    Showers and sauna lost horizon

    Any I am missing?

  2. Yeah, what's the crack with Lost Horizon?

How much? Is the pass for all week? Do they have hot showers or just cold?

I've used Magic Hat (just as good for conversation as getting cleansed) and Green Peace, but I'd much rather an in & out hot shower.

  3. what you see at the festival is the smiley happy face of the police, it's PR for them, They'll be under instructions to keep a lowish profile and be all happy.

Outside of the festival, it can be very very different

The fairy wings? think they were wearing them when they did this?

  4. I think the Amazon TechNet one posted above is good enough for one person, but if you're a couple (or more), then the power bar could be a good idea.

If we assume 80% efficiency (that's what Anker market as their 'high efficiency' battery), that's a real-world capacity of 12000MaH. Two iPhone 5s (a pretty good battery size to life ratio) would get 3.82 fills out of it.

That might last the depending on how you use your phone, but if you have something less eco than an iPhone (for example I have a Nexus 5), you'll get just 5.21 total charges out of it.

I'm going to get a PowerBar anyway, as I'm in the Mobile Telco industry so I'm quite interested to see how well they pull it off.

  5. Nice, exactly what I have, -- a simple shell script running a diff on the previous minute's value from the various sites.

I had it texting me through clockworksms.com but it kinds costs a bit when there are lots of quick changes on the sites...

Could you have it send you a DM on Twitter, and then have twitter alert you via SMS of the Tweet?

  6. I'm not going through 137 pages to see it: What's the consensus about live quality of Metallica nowadays. I thought they'd sort of lost it live... and on record...

  7. Just went and picked up one in store and it was £14.99, I double double checked and they said it would be elidgable for the on-site swap.

£15 isn't even that ridiculous for a branded battery with a reasonable warranty.

EDIT: Looks like she was full of shit. You have to buy the specific one from the website.

  8. I propose that they only sell them from the farm office, and everyone has to make a pilgrimage to buy tickets.

Obviously that'd become to big an event and the council would step in with regulations and before long you'd need a ticket to buy a ticket...

  9. I'm still scared it didn't work, even though the money is out of my account.

Took a while to get in, then everyone of my connections got in at once (I'm wondering if some people were kicked off and this opened a load of space?). My tool had me flying through the card process and I was through in a few seconds.

Someone called me and we tried to get him a couple of tickets, but by the looks of it, his mates got him some (at least I hope so).

  10. Some of you may have seen my little tool (below) in the resale thread.

Now this only works for me as my details are in the source code, and I tried to whip up a version where the user can enter their own details before hand for quick copying, but I'm no expert coder (also, I'm sure most eFesters are Windows users and I haven't got access to VB Studio right now). I've had a PM from one intrigued user and I'm sure more people who could benefit.

Are there any good coders on here who could whip up a universal one?

EDIT: A Javascript based webpage! That would be a great solution but it's even further out of my league.

  11. After losing my ticket once inside in 2010, making it impossible to get to our camper, I had to go up and down the hill of death a few times, just to wait and speak to someone and then repeat, I'd not risk the possibility of turning up without a ticket BEFORE I'd even been inside.

That said, I did get double wrist-banded, which made passing in and out a dream.

  12. Is there a way to make sure Chrome/Safari/IE/FF/Whatever has all your shit in auto fill and that it's Glasto compliant (e.g. doesn't put your phone number in the credit card number slot)?
