  1. How did people find the queue this year, i'm not sure if i timed it right but didn't have a problem apart from a little wait on the thursday.

Honestly, there isn't exactly a hard number as such. It's going to depend a fair bit how it looks in relation to other festivals, to stand alone gigs, and to a lesser extent going to somewhere like Vegas for a week. Glastonbury is already double the cost of Bearded Theory, if the difference went up went to say triple then I'd struggle to justify the difference given Bearded is more focused on what I like and you can only be in the one place at one time.

    This

Glastonbury 2023 was just about on the boarder of what i consider value for money for my personal music tastes.

If the line-up starts moving too far away from what i consider worthy of my cash i will just do more smaller festivals.

But there is also that emotional attachment to the place which would be hard to break but a few like 2016 (weather wise) and line ups that don't suit could see that attachment break.

  3. The old layout with the cafe and cafe stage down the right hand side was a better layout for me.

Its lost that old summer fate kind of feel to it and the lack of food vendors didn't help.

I'm sure the priority has been given to selling more drink from the avalon inn than the feel of the place.

I suppose its just the way how the priority's of the festival are slowly changing.

  4. I met him in the wall of death in 2011. didn't realize he was stud next to me till i overheard him laughing.

then in 2019 i was watching skinny lister in the avalon on sunday afternoon when the front man dan told a story how they where late arriving and only just made it. he said if it wasn't for Michael giving them a lift from the main gate the band wouldn't of made it.

Dan then said so thanks for the lift Michael and waved to his right, when i turned to see who he waved at Michael had drove the front of his landrover into the tent and was watching from the drivers seat.

after the set he posed for selfies and shook hands with whoever wanted too.

  5. Mines just come including the cv ticket.  the tracking link with the dispatch email didn't work at any stage and the envelope was just posted not signed for.

tracking only worked if i put the number directly into the royal mail app.

Never thought I would be saying this but I am having doubts about wanting to go now!

I live for Glastonbury but just git back from an amazing weekend at Bearded Theory and feel maybe a little 'festivaled out'. Also, as I am going alone I am not sure whether to coach or drive alone (for 8 hours each way).

Anyone else not as excited as normal? Sorry to be negative. Think it's mainly as Bearded was so amazing and can't see how Glastonbury could match it!

yep feeling the same way but I'm sure its the bearded come down.

Everything will be fine in a few days.

The line up drop will help.

  7. looks like the campervan field will be quite a bit smaller this year with a large section changed to accessible camping.

Even with the reduction in the pitch size i can see a lot going over the road to oaklands.

for every 7 pitches they are gaining another one though.

    Ooh love a 4-poster 😄

So trying to figure that out - is the entrance back into the campsites straight ahead between the two tents?

Yeah its hard to work out but i think you're not far away.  could be to the left as you enter the main arena close to where the welfare tent was.
