It doesn't: that's "policja", or "milicja". I think "Polica" translates as "Banjo Kings", but I could be wrong.

They're a new band (as you can see my description is gonna be shit) fronted by a woman (who uses vocoder which annoys some people) and with 2 drummers and Ryan Olson is somehow involved. Their album Give You The Ghost is out in the US already and gets released 30th April here. They were given best band at SXSW by Drowned In Sound, so I think they probably have quite a good live show. I think their name means police or policeman in Polish.
This is their lead single:

EOTR does have at least one shock announcement a year
-
Great shout for Titus Andronicus, really liked the last album and have been told they are great live.
Anyone heard Polica? Should get them to EOTR...
-
Looks like Grandaddy is gonna be packed out. They and Dirty Three are my only must sees so far. Hoping for some wicked late announcements... sorry if I'm breaking the thread rules
-
Getting away from headliners, any chance we might get some proper rocking bands?
Gaslight Anthem
Frightened Rabbit
Drive-By Truckers
Battles
Archers Of Loaf
Les Savy Fav
Manchester Orchestra
Menomena
Olivia Tremor Control
Portugal. The Man
Rural Alberta Advantage
The Thermals
Wintersleep
Also still hoping for a return from Caribou and maybe appearances from Dispatch, Blind Pilot, James Vincent McMorrow, Ramona Falls and Shearwater.
Probably wishing a bit much . But just one good rocking band would make things a lot more interesting.
-
Looks like it will be Explosions which I would be more than happy with. Andrew Bird or the Walkmen at a stretch but seems unlikely... Lift to Experience reunion?
-
Chances of Frightened Rabbit? They're playing Hop Farm so there's a chance of more festivals. Would be great...
-
I'm stewarding and hoping for EITS. And a 10.15pm noise curfew would be rubbish - where you getting this from?
-
Yeah, it is. Solo set somewhere at the festival?
-
Nothing that gets me particularly excited. Never heard Van Dyke Parks though...any good?
-
Oooh please... Gaslight Anthem and Black Keys are too...although I suppose Black Keys would probably be too big.
-
New Springsteen. Can't wait for june.
-
it's still a good spectacle and some great songs, although it does get a little overwrought at points. But yeah, probably a moot point anyhow.
I'm convinced for some reason that it will be the Shins as headliners (which would be good).
-
Great news - thought I'd long missed a chance to see Grandaddy. Hopefully they're a good reunion.
-
Which would be amazing. Who cares if they've played before if they're sososo good?
-
I'm pretty sure they said Grizzly Bear were a headliner - they were announced as one weren't they?
-
Villagers. Thankyou very much.
-
Isn't it the same but in Holland?
-
I know there's a lot of ground that's being retrodden(?) this year but having missed last year and not being able to go, this announcement leaves me quite happy (so long as there's some more good bands to come). Vey glad to have just paid my deposit for stewarding. EOTR here I come.
-
Which is great seen as nearly all the artists I wanted to see at NDH are here.

Number 1?!? I don't think I know anyone who's heard them.
