Ok, (I think) heading back more towards the actually Essential side - ridiculously small, incredibly bright:

Albeit I bought it from China at a lower price.
Got any links to the Chinese shop?

Cables to prevent you losing your phone have proved invaluable for me in the past.
This is the first time I'm taking a smartphone (I usually take an old nokia) and knowing me I'd lose it otherwise! It's definitely a must-have for me.

This is the thing, people need to stop fussing over clever gadgets they'll forget they have with them or lose on day one.
That's why you get the pocket attachment cable I bought 😉

The belt loop side I can see , but how do you attach it to the phone?
You buy one of these: https://amzn.eu/d/diOmMde

I just bought this (with employee discount!) to attach my phone to my pocket: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/tool-lanyards/2361497

Every Glastonbury by about the Friday evening my lower back is in pain. I was thinking of starting weekly pilates to stop this happening next year. Does anyone know if this will work? Or is there something better I could be doing?
For ref, I already do a mix of cardio and strength training 4 times a week, but I rarely do much core work.

It will be 2010 all over again 👍🔥
2010 was unbearable. Give me 2017 or 2019 and I'm more than happy.

I got past the holding page at about 9:25, but it timed out after I pressed proceed on the payment page so I thought I hadn't got them. But the money has come out of my bank and I've received the confirmation email so I will be there!
Not everyone I was trying for managed to get tickets though, so I've told them to try in the Spring resale too. I've managed to get tickets in that sale 2 or 3 times before so have faith if you didn't get them this tome round either.

There are posters signed by Michael Eavis and a 'Glastonbury bundle' signed by Michael and Emily Eavis.
There are also some (non-Glastonbury) bits from other musicians too.
It's well out of my price range but interesting to have a look!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading that! As entertaining as it is depressing.

I mentioned it in another thread, but a friend of a friend of mine is high up in the festival world and she thinks there'll be more ticket returns than we expect.

As someone who's had the virus, I'd be up for an antibody test upon entry!

Festival/ gig cancellations or ticket returns ? Both of which could be positive, gig cancellation could leave artists free to play Glasto, ticket returns speak for themselves.. But , let’s not forget that gig cancellation means someone is not going to a festival they love , and ticket returns may have a whole backstory of pain !
keep the love resalers
Ticket returns.

A friend of a friend of mine is high up in the festival world and she reckons there'll be more cancellations than we think. So that's something.

1. 2017 (because it fulfilled my goal of seeing them headline the pyramid)
2. 2011 (because I was there)
2. 2003 (because that's the set that made me want to go to Glastonbury one day)
3. 1997

It might end up working out for you...at least you're not at the wedding missing out while everyone else is at the festival! Hopefully you'll get tickets next time and the wedding will be on a different date so win win 😊
Yeah they've already confirmed the wedding next year is the weekend before Glastonbury. Thank god!
-
Can I be put on the spreadsheet too? I need tickets!!!

I'm miserable. I've been miserable for weeks, but with it being the 'week of' and the glorious weather I'm even more miserable today. I should be sitting in a Somerset field drinking cider right now.
And I wouldn't have even been going this year anyway (I was meant to be going to a wedding this weekend which was obviously cancelled).
I miss it so much. The thought of not getting tickets in the (re)sale makes me a bit nauseous.
-
I wasn't able to go this year, but I'm gutted for each of you that had tickets. Really sad news. I hope this doesn't mean the end of the festival.

Sean Paul.
Ah right. I knew he played but didn't realise he wasn't originally billed.

Who ended up replacing diplo in the end?

I very sadly won't be able to attend next year as my friend has decided the Saturday of glastonbury is the perfect day to get married. Unless radiohead play, then glasto wins.
So instead I've been looking at alternative festivals that Mr Barkley can come to with me for once. However Mr Barkley will only stay in B&Bs / hotels etc, so it's proving difficult. I hear Bearded Theory is good though, and only 90 mins from where I live.

This on the other hand is 6 mins from the villagers gate. Unfortunately not for sale. Their dog comes to visit us regularly. Just pops in and rolls on the carpet for a bit before snuggling down for a snooze. We then put him on a lead and take him back. His owners don’t seem worried that he has escaped and crossed a very busy road to get to us.
That's amazing. Worth living in Pilton just for dog visitors (and the festival I guess).

I had to go home from work at lunch today because I felt so rough. I then slept for about 5 hours. I'm still tired though and my sinuses are so blocked the entire left side of my face hurts.
It's been a week now. When will this virus shift?!
Whats your absolute ESSENTIAL GADGET / NEW THING you'll be bringing?

Cheers, will check them out. It looks good but I don't fancy paying almost £40 for it!
