Would someone be able to clarify this? Does this mean the strokes aren't playing at Leeds?
Neil?
Cheers.

The idea is that she would do a set on Thursday night, and then cover with Dizzee on Friday? Meaning she couldn't do Reading on Saturday due to be at V Fest?
Ok yeh...

This year i am going to LEEDS FESTIVAL for the first time with about 15/20 mates to celebrate exam results. Now i have seen on youtube and heard about these silly 'riots' and dont want to be involved in the slightest as i am going there for a fesitval experience and to enjoy myself, not to cause havoc to genuine festival goers, and be branded as a 17 year old thug that goes there to get wasted! ive just got a couple of questions that are going round in my head as its a first time and want to get the most out of it! I will have just turned 17 by the time the festival comes around and by no means look like a 19 year old but not a 15 year old with a high squeaky voice! If any experienced Leeds fest goers can answer any questions it would be much appreciated.
1. how much money would i roughly need to get me through the weekend (6am thursday to monday)?
2. best camping spots to enjoy myself with a good atmosphere but without trouble?
3. how stricked are they on taking alcohol into the camping area (not the music arena) ?
4. is it worth taking a mobile/camera?
any other info or advice would be great.
cheers

Well i am glad to hear that people do go to enjoy the music, guess i didn't really doubt it, was more worried about the wife and how she would feel if it was full of chav's being sick down themselves, becouse they thought they were big and clever drinking more than there bodies could handle

Hi,
This is my first festival, tickets are booked.
I can see from the post that alot of people who attend are quite young.
I'm 38 and my wife is 43, until last year she had never been to a concert or anything, but is a huge music lover, so i took her to see AC/DC at Wembley and she loved it.
So this year i thought i would try Leeds as it's closer to home, larger event etc.
Just wondered what you guys thought (dont flame me lol) are we too old or can we still enjoy this.
Thanks

Don't mean to burst your bubble but surely after so long the festival will just discard the items? I mean it has been 9 months.

I don't know what it used to be like on here but I don't mind it at the moment. Well more the Leeds forum then this one. On the Leeds forum there are always a couple of spats where on this one well there's just not.
Let's start a fight.
Indierocknrolla you're a slut.
(You're not really)

Still think we will get Deadmau5 and Skrillex, Hopefully we'll get Skream as well or possibly Magnetic Man. I always like a bit of the Dance tent when i'm at Leeds.
