Twinwood Festival 2008

Twinwood Festival takes place at the RAF Twinwood Airfield and Twinwood Arena, near Bedford. The festival runs for three days, from Saturday 23rd August, to Monday 25th August.

The festival will feature the easy listening orchestras of John Miller and Syd Lawrence, as well as Lola Lamour, Swingtime Sweethearts, The Mainline Big Band, Swing Museum, Patchwork Bombardiers, Steeples And Alexander, Decades Fashion Show, and C.&.B.L.E. Dance Displays. Dance bands of the rock'n'roll and jump jive genres include Mike Sanchez, The R.C.A. Band - Elvis in Concert, The Jive Aces, The Metrotones, Big Boy Bloater & his Southside Stompers, Mark Keeley's Good Rockin' Tonight, Paul Ansell's Number 9, The Avengers, The Revolutionaires, The Jive Romeros, Ocean's Seven, Ooh-Bop-Sh'bam, The Swing Commanders, Ian Calford & the Railmen, and The Red Stripe Band. Plus MCs and DJs.

Hosted by John Miller (Glenn's nephew), the festival promises WWII air displays, museums, 1940's re-enactments, trade & craft stalls, jive & lindyhop dance lessons, three stage's, fashion shows, hangar dances, and more.
