The 16th Twinwood Festival incorporates the Glenn Miller Festival of Swing Jazz & Jive, featuring music from the 40s, 50s and beyond along with air displays, hangar dances, fashion shows, comedy shows, trade stalls, food and bars, museums, living history, classic vehicles, camping and more.

Twinwood Festival is confirmed for Friday 25th until Monday 28th August 2017, and takes place at the RAF Twinwood Airfield and Twinwood Arena, near Bedford.

Line-up

In 2017 the festival will be offering visitors over 60 vintage music acts, with bands like The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK directed by Ray McVay, Mike Sanchez, Down for the Count Swing Orchestra and The Jive Aces all taking to the stage, as well as the return of festival favourite Si Cranstoun!

Spread over eleven themed on-site venues the festival’s programme of music brings you the big band sound of the 1940s right through the jumpin’ music of the 1950s and into the swinging 60s!.

Tickets are priced as follows:
Child prices valid for Children between 5 and 16 years. Under 5's Free.
ADULT: £103 Weekend, £47 Saturday, £47 Sunday, £29 Monday
CHILD: £15 Weekend, £8 for Saturday, Sunday, or Monday
There's also a Monday family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) available for £59.

The festival offers on site camping in its comfy and picturesque campsites as well as glamourous glamping packages! Tickets are available as both weekend and day passes.

Camping

Caravan and Motorhome pitches are also available. Campsite A was priced at £53 (sold out), and Campsite B or C is priced at £53.

Please note - Motorhomes must be shorter than 30 foot in length, and lighter than 5 tonnes. This year they cannot accommodate motorhomes that are larger than this. Only one vehicle is permitted per pitch. (Extra vehicles must park in the public carpark)..

For those who are able to come earlier they will allow the pitching up of caravans and tents from mid-day on Thursday until midday Tuesday. Please note that organisers cannot guarantee that the showers and some toilets will be installed by Thursday, but the permanent toilet block will be open. Also the Camp Site Shop will not open until Saturday morning.

Attractions

As well as music the festival offers it’s visitors a huge array of vintage and retro stalls making it an absolute must for lovers of vintage fashion! There will also be several vintage beauty salons, a men’s barbers, museums, classic cars, dance lessons, bars, clubs, food vendors on site.
