Teignmouth Folk Festival 2009

Throughout the weekend of Friday 19th until Sunday 21st June 2009, the Teignmouth Folk Festival will be taking place at a number of different venues in one of Devon's oldest seaside resorts, located below the Haldon Hills on the estuary of the River Teign.

The confirmed acts for the festival include James Fagan & Nancy Kerr, Tom Lewis, Habbadam, The Askew Sisters, New Rope String Band, Halfway Harmony, The Exmouth Shanty Men, Phoenix, The Castletown Boys, The Pyrates, Stormin Norman, and Firestone. There are still more acts to be announced.

The festival will also play host to Morris, Border and Appalachian dancers.

Tickets are not yet on sale, and either wristbands or tickets will admit festival goers to events, space permitting.

The main venues for the 2009 Folk Festival will be The Carlton Theatre & The Triangle, plus The Ship Inn, East Cliff Cafe, Jason's Garden, The South Pacific, and other venues will be confirmed nearer the event.

There will be camping available, and Teignmouth also offers a number of accommodation options.

More information will be here when available.
