Swaledale Festival 2011

This festival comprises over 40 ticketed performances as well as other free events offering classical, choral, jazz, folk and world music in intimate Dales venues plus gallery works and exhibitions.

The festival takes place in various village venues around Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale.

Line-up

Hut People, Kathryn Tickell, Adel Salameh Trio, Alexander Markov, Arioso, Leyburn Band, Muker Silver Band (two gigs), Reeth Brass, Hawes Silver Prize Brass Band, Buddug Verona James, David Gordon, Fretwork Viol Ensemble, Leon Bosch, London Concertante with Alexander Markov, Loyd Grossman (giving the 2011 Reeth Lecture), Mark Bebbington, Martin Taylor, Michael Brough and Lucy Downer, Mooncalf Theatre, Northern Sinfonia, Patricia Hammond and Michael Brough, People Show, Reg Vardy Band, Richmond Youth Theatre, Simon Armitage, Skampa String Quartet, Swale Singers, Young Artists Platform, and ZUM, expect more big names, emerging stars and local artists in the wings.
