Stroud festival 2004

Now in it's ninth year, the Stroud festival plays host to a plethora of performance with everything from street theatre, morris dancing, plays, speakers (this year, Mo Mowlam), poetry (Les Barker, Pam Ayres), and a mini Children's festival (from 10.30am - 5pm, Saturday and Sunday - donations). There are many free events as well as big names from the world of music.

This year Chumbawamba are headlining with a performance at the Subscription Rooms on September 11th from 7.30pm.
Other music events include: roots music from Delta Moon, global dance from Elephant Talk with support from Jambience, jazz from Claire Martin, folk 'n' roots from T & Latouche, quirky grooves from Ocean for Sale and covers from Doreen Doreen.

There are also lots of stalls, beer tents, arts and crafts and a procession.

Camping
Camping is available from 6pm Thursday 9th September through till Sunday evening. The campsite is located behind the Leisure Centre at Stratford Park, Stratford Road. Caravans and tents are allowed onto the site.
Wheelchair Access
Most venues can accommodate wheelchairs or other mobility restricted persons. At venues without wheelchair access, stewards will be happy to assist in any way they can. Disabled toilets are in the Subscription Room, Cornhill Market, Town Council offices, campsite and public toilets at the rear of the Subscription rooms (Radar key will be needed).
