Stonehaven Folk Festival 2014


The 26th Stonehaven Folk Festival, takes place over four days from Thursday 10th until Sunday 13th July 2014, and features evening concerts at the Town Hall plus fringe events at various venues around the town.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are Gavin Marwick’s Journeyman Spectacular, Aaron Jones and Claire Mann, Bellevue Rendezvous, Up in the Air, Old Blind Dogs Allstars, Journeyman, Jamie Smith’s Mabon, Lady Maisery, Martin Carthy, The North East Folk Collective, Nuala Kennedy, Paddy Callaghan Trio, Patrick Street, and Skip Gorman.

An adult combined evening concert ticket (18 yrs and over) is priced at £45, concessions £38, and kids £22. A Friday night ticket is priced at £15. A Saturday concert ticket is priced at £18, the tradition bearers concert is priced at £8, and a Sunday concert ticket is priced at £18. Although it's worth noting that not all concerts are covered by the combined passes. Concessions are available and kids under 14 years are admitted half price.

Tickets go on sale 1 April for festival friends or 1 May to the general public.

Other events

As well as the main concerts there are also workshops, Ceilidh, survivors session, free afternoon concerts, Family show, World paper and Comb Championships, Tradition Bearers Concert, Acoustic Youth Stage and more all around the Town.

Camping

There is a basic festival campsite located at Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven.

Location

Stonehaven is an attractive coastal town in the North East of Scotland, about 15 miles south of Aberdeen. Easily accessible from north and south by road and rail, Stonehaven is on the main rail route to Aberdeen. It is reached from the south by the A90 and the A94 and from the north by the A90.
