Stompin' on the Quomps 2010

Stompin' on the Quomps, is a FREE al-fresco Smooth Jazz Festival held on Saturday, 7th August 2010 and is based in the surroundings of Christchurch Quay, in Dorset.

Line-up

The community event will start at noon with the popular Not Just Sax, with Sarah Bolter. Other bands performing are The Lemongrove, The Baddest Blues Band Ever and Bazare Bizzare. The event will culminate with Taverners Big Band. Between acts entertainment will be provided by members of the Swish of the Curtain theatre company and the Funky Little Choir.

Family friendly

Now in its 16th year, it's a festival that is hugely popular with young families through to octogenarians soaking up the atmosphere and dancing to the sounds of bands ranging from Latin Jazz, Blues, through to the classic sound of the Big Band.

The expanded event will have food and drink stalls and full information can be found in the souvenir programme which will be available from the Christchurch Information centre, The Regent Centre, the Captain's Club Hotel and at the event itself.

This is a non-camping event. There are accommodation options in the surrounding area.
