Stendhal Festival 2011


Stendhal Festival is a new music festival taking place in the Roe Valley, Northern Ireland, on Saturday 20th August 2011.

Combining music, art, dance, sculpture, poetry, and a host of other activities, this is a family friendly event that embraces the ethos of community, discovering different genres of art and above all, having a good time.

Line-up

Headlining are Turin Brakes. Also performing Rainy Boy Sleep (aka Stevie Martin), Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, Gorgeous Colours, Queen Elvis, Lee Rogers, Tin Pot Operation, The Limavady Big Jazz Band, Chase Atlantis, Andy Irvine, Key of Atlas, Swannee River, Intermission, Spree, Balkan Allen Sound, Mark Black, Tommy Shots, Bomb City 7, The Mean Mistreaters, We Are Burkes Lounge, and Lantern For a Gale.
The Garden Shed acoustic stage: I am J.A.C. (Stephen Roddy) and Ruairi Connolly.
Poetry corner: The Poetry Chicks (Abby Oliveira and Pamela Brown with Connor Kelly).

Also confirmed is comedian Colin Geddis, Echo Echo dance company, Flemenco NI and the Heraghty School of Irish dancing.

Tickets

A day ticket is priced at £15. A camping Ticket is priced at £20 (Camp on Friday and Saturday, and leave on Sunday). A family pass (camping or one day) for 2 adults and up to 4 children under 18 is priced at £25.

Other attractions at the festival will include; Art galleries and an Artist colony, Children's craft and art workshops, Ashtanga Yoga, children's play areas, food and drink, an Arts and Crafts Market, and many more wee surprises. The Wheel Works ArtCart will also be stopping by the unique mobile digital arts vehicle will delivering a range of bespoke arts based projects to young people directly.

The festival intends to ensure the audience is kept undercover in the event of inclement weather.
