Now in it's eighth year Sounds from the Other City is a festival showcasing new music from from Manchester and beyond which takes over Chapel Street, Salford from 3pm to midnight on Sunday 6th May 2012.

As well as music the event will offer art installations, karaoke, spoken word, croquet, yarn-bombing, fine booze and food.

Venues

Venues taking part are expected to include the huge Old Pint Pot, St Philips Church, Islington Mill and Salford University's Peel Hall.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
