Started in 1995 the Newcastle Community Green Festival originally formed in opposition to building plans for Leazes Park, is now a community festival offering positive solutions to environmental problems.
It provides a showcase for local musicians and performers, as well as FREE hands-on arts, heritage and children's activities for all to take part into take part in.
2003 saw the festival move for one year only to Exhibition Park. In 2004 it returned to it's normal home of Leazes Park.
