Newcastle Community Green Festival 2004

Back at the newly refurbished Leazes Park (after a change of site for 2003 only) for its 10th year, it aims to offer positive solutions to environmental problems.

This year has 5 stages of music, environmental theatre, fire show, workshops, art and random happenings, sculpture trail, Kids area, organic bar (Sunday only), as well as food.

There are plenty of FREE hands-on arts, heritage and children's activities to take part in, including graffiti and spray paint workshops, green woodworking, Northumberland crafts, drumming, juggling and circus skills workshops. Visitors can learn how they can improve their environment, and experience alternative therapies in the healing area.

The Green Festival is open from 12noon until 6pm on the Saturday and from 12noon until 10.30pm on the Sunday.

Please note - this is a city based festival - NO CAMPING.
