Nailsworth Festival 2009

A community festival, now in it's 26th year, run by volunteers, with folk, classical, world music, drama and performance, for children and adults.
Kicking off the festival on Friday 24th April will be The Carnival Band. On Saturday 26th April it is Festival Saturday from 10am until approximately 3pm centred on Mortimer Gardens with a host of entertainers, and events for free. In the event of rain, some performances will be transferred to an indoor venue. Friday 1st May sees a piano recital with François Cornu, Saturday 2nd May sees the arrival of Lèves Music Band from Nailsworth's twin town of Lèves. Sunday 3rd May will have local musicians celebrating their 90th anniversary with a free concert of music from the films, along with a workshop for aspiring talent. On the Sunday there will also be a concert by TG Collective.
The Festival is a week-long event and various musical and cultural events will take place throughout the week.
Other events include talks, walks and workshops. There should be something for everyone.
Many events are free but some require tickets.
