A community festival, now in it's 22nd year, run by volunteers, with folk, classical, world music, drama and performance, for children and adults.
Kicking off with Festival Saturday which, this year, as it falls on St George's Day, will be themed around St George and the Dragon, starting with a colourful procession, followed by a free concert in the George V playing fields, featuring the Mad Cows, and other local bands in the afternoon.
The Festival is a week-long event and various musical and cultural events will take place throughout the week. Musical events include the Creole Belles, an all-female band playing 1920s and 30s New Orleans-style jazz at the Town Hall on Sunday 24th April (£6) and local band, Sweet Fresh Air who conclude the festival with their special blend of folk-rock at Nailsworth Town Hall (£3) on Monday 2nd May.
Other events include talks, walks and workshops. There should be something for everyone.
