Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival 2009


Offering a narrowboat rally as well as music and street theatre with juggling, parades through the town, stalls, music at various venues, brass bands and Morris dancing.

The line-up has been confirmed as follows:
Friday: Mark Radcliffe and the Family Mahone, supported by Stan's Magic Foot. - SOLD OUT
Saturday:
Afternoon - Blue Murder (Norma & Mike Waterson, Martin Carthy, Coope, Boyes & Simpson + a special guest) supported by Ashley Hutchings' Rainbow Chasers, Gina Le Faux and Tom Doughty.
Evening - Ade Edmondson & the Bad Shepherds, supported by Cave, Ella Edmondson Band and Vicki and Trefor Williams. Also the Ceilidh with All Blacked Up.
Sunday:
Afternoon - Thea Gilmore, supported by Rachel Harrington, Andrea Glass, and The Secret Band (line-up withheld because they're Secret!).
Evening - Jim Moray, supported by Isambarde and Zoox.

There are concerts taking place in the Festival Marquee, and in the British Legion plus a ceilidh every night at the Civic Hall. Artists performing this year have not yet been announced.

Tickets are priced at £70 (concessions £68; youth £35). Camping combined with the use of the Leisure Centre facilities is priced at £5 per adult per night. Accompanied under-18s are free. To download a booking form or buy tickets on paypal click here.

Circus skills, poetry and music workshops are also expected. There's also a children's festival with activities such as face painting, balloon modelling, fairground (small rides), talent show, and colourful parades.
