Llama Festival 2009


As part of the larger Lynton & Lynmouth Festival, this music weekend offers a great and varied line-up of national and local bands, over the weekend of Friday 12th until Sunday 14th June 2009

The line up includes:

The Friday night gig at Lynton Town Hall, from 8pm – 2am is known as the 'Overnight Launch' and features One drop, Moxy & Toddy, Skitz & Deadly Hunter, and Hint. Tickets are only available in advance from 2nd May from a shop in Lynton. Numbers are strictly limited. The Friday Fringe acts include Jacksboro Highway, Zamba, Average Blues Band, Dave Walden, and Banjaxed.

Saturday morning Rock House: Dave Walden.
Saturday afternoon Main Stage: Street Heat, Lost Transmission, Amy Newton, The Black Swan Effect, Wio Leokadio, and Badly Drawn Boy.
Saturday afternoon Blue Ball: James & The Giant, Mike Heron & Georgia Seddon, Sam & The Plants, War Against Sleep, and Butler - Williams.
Saturday afternoon Bird Music (The Cinema): Magpahi, and Emma Tricca.
Saturday afternoon The Twist & Spout: Myoptik, El Goodo, Ambr0se T0mpkins, Gas Museum, Juan Arbonez & Super D - Disco.

Main Stage Saturday evening: Guerrilla Rhythm, Hairy Parents, Flevans & Kinny, and Savarah Soul.
Greenhouse Saturday evening: Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band
Crown Saturday evening: Mik Artistik, Deluded, Paper Heroes, Paper Tiger, The Yum Yums, and Moon Music Orchestra.
St Marys Church Saturday evening: Cian Nugent, The English Ayre, Ben Reynolds, Nalle, The Rosemarie Band, and The Princes in the Tower.
The Queens Saturday evening: Kevin Dyer, Pickpockets & Skyrockets, Emma Tricca, and Trouble & Mischief.
Bath Hotel Saturday evening: David Holmes, Andy Votel, Doug Shipton.
The Saturday evening Fringe acts include Grumpy Old Men, Jacksboro Highway, and Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band.

Main Stage Sunday afternoon: Cosmic Ray Gun, Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo, The Lift Men, The Travelling Band, RSVP, and First Degree Burns
Woody Bay Sunday afternoon: Jacksboro Highway, Sarah Gough, and Kevin Dyer.
Blue Ball Sunday afternoon: Catherine & The Owl, Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band, Mik Artistik, and Sarah Gough.
The Twist & Spout Sunday: Myoptik, Sam Chalkley, and Will Hodgkinson.

Hunters Inn Sunday evening: Heddon Valley Stumblers.
Crown Stage Sunday evening: Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band, and Pyrates.
The Queens Sunday evening: Andy Votel, and Dom Thomas.

There's also a male voice choir or two, a busking competition and a film tent.

This isn't on on-site camping festival but there should be plenty of accommodation available in the area although it would be wise to book well in advance.
