FREE (except for the Friday night gig - £10 in advance)
As part of the larger Lynton & Lynmouth Festival, this music weekend seems to have kept itself very quiet but it offers a great and varied line-up of national and local bands, including:
Zion Train; James Yorkston; The Broken Family Band; John Etheridge; The Larry Love Showband (of the Alabama 3); Misty's Big Adventure; Big Boss Man; Devonians; The Amy Newton Band; ObeidentBone; Flipron; Gravenhurst; Rose Kemp; and Claude Bourbon. Pip Dylan, Pictus Trail, King Creosote and the Fence Collective will also be at large around the villages all weekend.
The Friday night gig at Lynton Town Hall, from 8pm 2am is known as the 'Overnight Launch and features Aspects, Big Joan, The Cohorts, Scanone and DJs Todd and Nathan with the first act at 8.15pm. Tickets are only available in advance from 2nd May from a shop in Lynton. Numbers are strictly limited.
There's also a male voice choir or two, a busking competition and a film tent organised by the Hallowe'en society.
This isn't on on-site camping festival but there should be plenty of accomodation available in the area although it would be wise to book well in advance.
