Lift Global Music Festival - CANCELLED 2010

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
This year's festival has now been cancelled. High Peak Borough Council have announced that snow and ice damage to the Town Hall made it unsafe so all events there are cancelled until further notice.

A festival celebrating a wide variety of music from artists around the world held at either the Town Hall or other venues in Glossop town centre, held earlier this year from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th May 2010.

Line-up

The full line-up is yet to be announced. Friday's opening concert will be a specially commissioned collaboration between Gilad Atzmon (The Blockheads, Orient House Ensemble), singer Sarah Gillespie, and the Glossopdale Community College Swing Band.

The Sunday event will again be 2pm to 7pm at The Globe with the emphasis, as in previous years, on a relaxed eclectic vibe.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are not yet on sale.

As with previous years some of these events will take place at The Globe and the Town Hall both of which have very limited capacity
