The Lift Global Music Club is a non-profit-making organisation run by local volunteers, known as 'The Lift Engineers'. The Club primarily uses two venues in the centre of Glossop, Derbyshire for it's events, these being The Globe on High St West, and Glossop Town Hall. The festival provides fun and entertainment for the local community and draws in visitors from the surrounding areas, giving the town a fresh, multi-cultural identity.
After 16 years organisers closed the event in 2010.
