Fuse Lichfield 2010


Fuse Lichfield, organised by Lichfield Arts, takes place from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July 2010. The festival is celebrating it's tenth year in 2010, and offers a weekend of music and arts under canvas in Beacon Park, Lichfield, Staffs.

Free festival

The FREE family community arts festival has a culturally diverse mix of events, performances and activities for all ages. The theme for 2010 is 'Dance Your Socks Off!'.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed for the Main Stage are Friday openers Fountain of Youth, Muddy La Fete Avec Amis, and The Shooters appearing on Friday and Voice and Reason, The Dirty Cheats, Blast, Riven, PBS6, Chimanimani, and Battle of the Bands Winners - The Switch appearing on Saturday. Sunday's bands will include The City of Lichfield Concert Band, Funktional, Wildfire Folk, Lichfield Gospel Choir (TBC), and 'Dance Your Socks Off' Monster Ceilidh Band will host a giant Ceilidh. There are many more acts still to be announced.

Entertainment

Lots of events and activities will involve dance of many types including a very special community dance performance. The event offers music from national and local bands, workshops (dance, poetry, circus skills, singing, songwriting), performances (Poetry, comedy, theatre, dance, storytelling), art and craft activities. There will also be plenty for kids to do, an Arts Fair, Art Exhibition, licensed bar, food vendors and a craft market. There's free parking nearby and the park is just a few minutes walk from the city centre, bus and rail stations.

No camping is allowed on site but there are camping and accommodation options nearby.
